11th May 2024 , I was humbled 2/5 of my full-time employees left 4/7 clients left I couldn't stand still or think critically for 2 days. That month I stopped eating outside for the first time, thinking that would be expensive. All my days were ending with no conclusion... I work from an office & for the first this place haunted me, I was unable to solve any of my problems. So I started working 12 Hour days, reflecting on how everything went against me & I came up with these conclusions: → DO CONTRACTS FOR ALL EMPLOYEES → TAKE CALCULATED RISKS The first mess up was not doing proper contracts. I mentioned nothing about notice period which resulted in an employee sort of ditching us & they literally told me about it when I assigned them some tasks. "Hey I just got a call from ****** & they have hired me full-time, I have no idea how this happened" I'm not gonna go into the details but this was the shittiest day of 2024 for me because I always focused on having less but lean talent. Anyways, now you must be thinking okay he fu**ed up this himself but why 4 clients left him the same month? Well I overcharged without rationalizing it. Everything was going good in business so I thought of raising my prices, again my idea has been to have as less no. of buyers possible. I can't explain in writing how bad my days were, I thought of: - Quitting my YouTube business at all - Closing my office & going remote again - Selling my equipment to cover rent (if needed) but the thing that I hated the most was my mental state I had never experienced anything this severe before. I know you'd expect a comeback like everyone does and how I scaled back and have everything sorted. I Don't I learned from my losses, promised to never do them again and now am on recovery phase. I just hope this helps & you can avoid these. Fazeel

Since Indian banks don't have it, would love to see a feature on @foldmoney_ where I can simply add my accountant for view access and don't have to go through manually sharing account statements every month with them, they can just log-in and view

here's a secret passive income hack (made me $8k+ last 365 days) that can be achieved with simple safari extensions which I'd like to share with you. -identify a popular Chrome extension that isn’t available for Safari. -develop a Safari version addressing the same user needs. -publish & wait. Price the extension between $3 - $10. I did the same when I made Burnfeed back in 2022, inspired by News Feed Eradicator.

4 days ago, My father passed away. He was battling in the hospital for the last 20 days. I suddenly became the breadwinner of the family. Life changed in a flick of a second. He denied me cable until I was 10, so for entertainment, I read a lot of his Hindi novels. One of the many reasons I became a writer. Thank you to everyone who reached out to me and asked why I wasn't posting. I will get back on track from Monday. I have a tattoo on my forearm wrist which says Amor Fati and Memento Mori. I'm finally understanding the meaning of it. हरि इच्छा प्रबल है

I found this talk by Prof Balaram ex Dir IISc, chair @atree_org to be very engaging. I rarely have patience to watch an hour long talk but this one was fascinating. It's called Science Publishing: Greed, Vanity and the Decline of Scholarship. youtu.be/ndtYh_rp7yw

There's so much to learn as a new creator: • Marketing • Networking • Copywriting • Funnel building • Product creation • Content strategy But still, one skill stands above all, and that is writing. It's the base of your business. Make it strong.
