Oxana Malaya was just 3 years old when her severely alcoholic parents locked her outside, leaving her to survive with stray dogs in rural Ukraine.
For the next five years, the animals became the only family she ever knew.
When authorities finally found her around age 7, they discovered a child who had completely assimilated into the wild pack.
The dogs were so fiercely protective of Oxana that police had to distract them with food just to get close enough to take her away.
Once in the care of a children's home, researchers were shocked by her behavior: she was more like a puppy than a human, walking on all fours, barking and refusing to eat with her hands.
Oxana was removed from her parents custody and spent years in care, learning how to walk, talk, and live around people again.
As an adult, she learned to speak and work on a farm, but doctors said she would likely never fully recover from what happened to her as a child.

Hard to work from home when a “20 minute” fix has turned into three days with no internet and little/no contact from @CenturyLink.
Person came by yesterday, left after 3 hours without telling anyone or explaining the situation. Didn’t schedule a fix until after 25 minute call. And they won’t be coming until tomorrow. Meanwhile— they had zero issue automatically pulling money out for our bill this month.

There’s going to be so many accidents caused by people who think they can correctly replace brakes on a modern vehicle with YouTube, AI, and $200 at AutoZone
The Return of Johnny Pipe, MD, PhD, Esq@pipe_johnny
Did my Mother-in-law's brakes this weekend, $200 in parts for Brakes and Rotors because the shop she went to quoted her $1500. In what world is a brake job $1300 in labor
