🇬🇧🇺🇸 X is cracking down on terrorist and hate content in the UK, committing to review flagged illegal content within 24 hours on average and submitting quarterly performance reports to Ofcom over the next year.
The platform also pledged to restrict access to accounts operated by or on behalf of terrorist groups banned in Britain, and will work with outside experts to improve how users report illegal material.
Ofcom says the new targets will give UK users some of the strongest protections on X globally.
Whether this ends up being genuine protection or a backdoor for the kind of censorship Elon himself has repeatedly warned about is the question worth watching.
