Big win for Idaho’s first-time homebuyers! The amended Senate Bill 1352, which makes it easier to build starter home subdivisions by limiting the power of larger cities to block them with restrictive lot-size and setback rules, passed the Senate in a 25-10 vote! This is a great step toward restoring private property rights and creating truly affordable housing options for Idaho families.

FIRST ON FOX: 3 children illegally put to work were rescued and 38 illegal aliens were arrested by ICE El Paso during a nine day targeted operation at three construction sites in El Paso, Texas, and Santa Teresa. ICE says the opp took place between Jan. 11 and 19 and stemmed from intelligence gathered throughout December. Among those arrested were four illegal migrants charged with felony illegal reentry and two ICE fugitives with final orders of removal. Eight had prior criminal histories, including convictions for assault causing bodily injury to a family member, driving while intoxicated and failure to identify as a fugitive from justice. Officers also encountered and rescued three illegal alien children, ages 15, 16 and 17, who were illegally put to work at various construction sites. ICE transferred them to Health and Human Services’ Office of Refugee Resettlement’s custody.
