This has resulted in the hackers sending emails to clients asking for funds to be transferred supposedly for their conveyancing transactions. However, the funds have gone to the hackers. Firms of solicitors have indemnity insurance to cover things like this but I just want to remind you all that if you get an email from your solicitors asking you to transfer funds, phone the solicitor and check the email is from him/her, not a hacker.
