“I killed daddy." 11-year-old Clayton Dietz allegedly shot and killed his adoptive father, Douglas Dietz, 42, in the early hours of his own 11th birthday (Jan. 13, 2026) in Pennsylvania. Clayton reportedly told police he had a good day with his parents earlier, but got upset when his dad took away his Nintendo Switch and told him to go to bed. While searching for the Switch later, he found the keys to the gun safe, was able to load the gun, and shot his dad dead in his sleep. He then told investigators: "I killed daddy." His first court appearance was last Thursday; he's currently charged as an adult with criminal homicide (automatic for homicide in PA at any age), but his attorney is pushing to move it to juvenile court. Do you think an 11-year-old should be tried as an adult in a case like this, or should it stay juvenile?

FBI agents are executing a search warrant at Fulton County’s main election office in Union City, as well as the Fulton County Superior Clerk’s Office.
