Microsoft is reportedly reducing internal use of Anthropic’s Claude Code after its AI bills started exploding as employee usage rapidly increased.
Some teams are now being pushed toward GitHub Copilot as the company tries to control AI costs.
Uber reportedly faced a similar problem. Executives said the company had already burned through its entire yearly AI tooling budget by April because engineers were heavily using AI coding daily.
AI coding tools are now being used for everything, and that level of usage creates massive compute and token costs when thousands of employees use these systems at the same time.

Short interest on US stocks is at multi-year highs:
Short interest in the median S&P 500 stock is up to 3.0% of market cap, the highest since 2012.
This is DOUBLE the levels seen during the 2020 pandemic.
By comparison, at the peak of the 2008 Financial Crisis, short interest in the median S&P 500 stock stood at 3.8%.
Furthermore, short interest among the most heavily shorted 10% of S&P 500 stocks is up to 8.0% of market cap, the highest since 2018.
Both metrics are now even higher than during the bear market following the 2000 Dot-Com Bubble burst.
Are markets setting up for a short-squeeze?

@mattyryze Everybody though they’d see current olympians, enhanced with PEDs, but we got ex athletes and ex Olympians that enhanced themselves to be competitive again. It’s a merit on its own but a far cry from what was promised.

@JoelDeTeves @enhanced_games Even 100m Olympic runners can’t sustain more that 4-5 seconds at peak speed. Muscle and resistance do play a big factor here but at these levels it’s hard to know the shape of the curve. I guess we are figuring it out.

Most people can’t swim flat out for 30 second straight as is.
I’m saying being huge isn’t helping anyone win at swimming.
That said I wonder about if they just did smaller amounts of test, as it does aid recovery

BREAKING: Iran directly rejects Trump's claim that Hormuz "will be opened" as part of a "largely negotiated" agreement he just posted on Truth Social, saying Trump's claim is "far from the truth" and that Hormuz "will remain under Iranian management" with Iran retaining exclusive permanent authority over route, timing, method, and permits, per Fars.
Iran also confirms the nuclear file has not been discussed and that American officials themselves have told Iran in multiple messages that "Trump's tweets are primarily for domestic American propaganda and media consumption" and "should be disregarded." The "largely negotiated" deal claim therefore has no basis.
