Got new capture card; avermedia gc573. Here are some snaps of my PCE color demos using retrotink 5x. These are mostly just test images to see how my conversion settings looked. I've had these for a while. NOTE: Composite out of the real system - not RGB. #pcengine #PCエンジン

@MoonPieDreams What does the dreamcast have to do with any of this? I simply asked you what you found impressive about it. Because there's nothing technically impressive in that demo (it's not pushing hardware, etc).

@turboxray It's a work in progress. The concept of getting a KOF game running well on SNES hardware is what interests me. A game like KOF95 ported well to real SNES hardware is fascinating. I feel the same about GTA3 port to Dreamcast. What doesn't interest me is Mario Kart 64 to Dreamcast.

@MaxwelOlinda1 @SokZaJelo But in the posted example, the foreground barely has any detail. You could easily simulate it with 8 vertical pre-shifted tilesets in vram and just do tilemap updates.. and gain that 3rd layer back.

Estou brincando com a função de deslocamento de colunas do SNES para deixar as coisas mais hardcore! >:) Mas hardcore vai ser pra mim balancear a dificuldade de uma fase que sobe e desce. XD A ideia é ter fases diferentes com seus inimigos exclusivos se aproveitando do cenário.

After some painstaking work, I finally finished work on a hack for WWF Royal rumble to increase the screen resolution to 320 as opposed to 240. Should be compatible with any of my previous patches. This works a bit as a hybrid. 240 for menus, 320 for gameplay.

A tiny Mega Splatterhouse update! Able to use h-ints and shadow mode heavily to get more colors on screen. I’ve been re-coloring the stages to take advantage of this as well as a hud update to allow for a separate palette just for the hearts! No more player colored hearts!!! Game is still sitting around 75% completed. I’ll finish updating the color then go back to adding the missing enemies weapons and oh yeah - the weapon on the bottom hud 🤣 This shot is not using shadow mode.

@St1ka Generation? As in 8-bit? By 1992 I mean, you’ve got some games that clearly surpass this by a lot. It is a good game but the hype over PC Engine games is insane. It was really bad in FL, to the point of everyone being insanely toxic about it if you said anything otherwise.

@BananaBytesBr Indeed. But speaking in 512K, check this: AI is often wrong about Amiga stuff, probably bases itself on retconners and naysayers lol. The 512K spec is written on the front of the friggin' box of the game!

MEGA TURRICAN for Mega Drive (Factor 5/1994) Great run and gun shooter, part of the famous Turrican series.🇩🇪 Known for their high quality Amiga titles, this time Factor 5 focused on the Mega Drive as the Amiga market started to fizzle at that point. Released as Turrican 3 on Amiga and it's a feat since it only requires 512K. Missed some features/details of the MD but a full-fledged port would require at least 1MB/maybe AGA.
