Our First Lady is spot on in calling out the hateful and disgusting performance by Jimmy Kimmel. I am sure ABC could find a much funnier replacement and — here’s a thought — someone who does not joke about assassinating our president.

Kimmel’s hateful and violent rhetoric is intended to divide our country. His monologue about my family isn’t comedy- his words are corrosive and deepens the political sickness within America. People like Kimmel shouldn’t have the opportunity to enter our homes each evening to spread hate. A coward, Kimmel hides behind ABC because he knows the network will keep running cover to protect him. Enough is enough. It is time for ABC to take a stand. How many times will ABC’s leadership enable Kimmel’s atrocious behavior at the expense of our community.

I keep thinking about Trump's inauguration, how it was so cold they had to move it indoors. And I think about the scene in 'Melania' when Mrs. Trump expresses apprehension about the walk down Penn Ave. I think about how she was assured it would be safe. And while I believe the fine men and women in law enforcement would have done their level best with it, I do not believe it would have been safe for the President. Not after what we've seen. God brought us a cold snap even Trump's golden personality couldn't break. And perhaps is saved his life. Or at least spared us another national heart attack.

They arrested the President of the United States of America 4X, charged him 91X, indicted him 4X, spied on his campaign, sabotaged his first term, jailed his supporters, raided his private residence, censored him, gagged him, tried to bankrupt him, and attempted to remove him from state ballots.
When all of that failed they tried to assassinate him not once but four times.
And they go on national television to talk about how we need to vote for them to save democracy.

When I watched the movie Melania, I was struck by the quiet anxiety the First Lady carries with her daily.
She asked repeatedly about safety protocols, shared her fears, and discussed Baron’s choice not to get out of the vehicle for the parade.
God bless her tonight.
