For months, I was primarily listening to just it. But Taylor's whole discography is too good to ignore for that long, so now I am spreading out my streams more among other songs. Sometimes I'll just put her discography on random. I'm also giving other artists more love on my playlists than I was in the aftermath of Showgirls release. An artist with this large and diverse a catalog is never going to have any one song, or any one album, streamed consistently for an obscenely long time, like some of the new artists get. Artists on their 12th studio album are not supposed to get smash Global hits. Ophelia has been that. It's already one of the biggest worldwide songs of the decade (and it will continue to chart globally for a long time). No Swiftie ever thought it was going to be this before release. So I think we need less bemoaning, and more celebrating that.
