Really cool looking event at one of he best hidden places on earth (seriously). Brown trout the size of your thigh in gin clear streams running through the property no wider than you can jump across.

Every Wagon Box event is a unique mix of high level conversation and camaraderie. In late August the mornings are cool, and in the afternoon when the warm amber sun filters through the ponderosas the beer is ice cold. Men, consider joining us for the first annual Economic Forum.

The Real Mike Rowe
The Real Mike Rowe@mikeroweworks·
Another Christmas Carol Last week, I received a phone call from a woman who wanted to know if my foundation was set up to receive donations in the form of stock. When I told her that we were, she told me that her boss wanted to make a year-end donation. “That’s great,” I said. “What’s your boss’s name?” “She would prefer to remain anonymous.” “No problem,” I said. “How much would she like to give?” “A million dollars.” (5 seconds later.) “I’m sorry, how much?” “A million dollars,” she said. “Of highly appreciated stock.” (Another 5 seconds later.) “Hello…are you still there.” “Yes,” I said. “I’m still here. You have a very generous boss. Would it be possible to thank her personally?” “I’m afraid not,” she said. “Her privacy is very important, and her time is valuable.” “I promise to respect both,” I said. “It's just that no one has ever given me a million dollars before, and I’d really like to say thanks. Just a quick phone call would be fine.” “Let me see what I can do,” she said. “In the meantime, where do I send the stock?” I told her, and the next day, a million dollars of highly appreciated stock arrived in the MRW brokerage account. And the day after that – Christmas Eve – I received an email with a link to join a Zoom call at exactly 11:55 am to meet my anonymous benefactor, a woman I’ll call “Carol.” I clicked the link at exactly 11:55, and Carol appeared on my computer screen. She had me on mute because she was talking to someone else on her cell phone. It looked urgent. A minute later she hung up and took me off mute. “Sorry,” she said. “Crazy morning. Hey - you clean up pretty good!” “Thanks,” I said. “It’s my second shower of the day.” Carol’s phone rang again, but she ignored it. “Thanks for making the time,” I said. “I know you’re busy.” “Busy doesn’t come close to what I am,” said Carol. “I’ve got a board meeting in five minutes, a house full of cranky relatives, and a helicopter waiting for me on the roof.” “With respect,” I said, “who schedule’s a board meeting on Christmas Eve?” “My husband just asked me the same thing. In the immortal words of Robert Plant, I’m afraid the answer is, ‘nobody’s fault but mine.’” “Actually,” I said, “those words came from Blind Willie Johnson. He wrote Nobody’s Fault but Mine almost a hundred years ago. Led Zeppelin “borrowed” it in 1976 and put it on an album called Presence. You can listen to Blind Willie’s version on You Tube. I'm not sure which is better.” “I’ll be sure to work it into my holiday playlist,” said Carol, glancing at her watch. “Now what can I do for you?” “You’ve already done it. I just wanted to tell you how I’m going to spend your money.” “I already know how you’re going to spend it,” she said. “You’re going to give it to qualified applicants who want to learn a skilled trade. Hopefully, the electric trade. My company could hire fifty electricians right now, and fifty more in Q2. We just can’t find them.” “I know,” I said. “I hear the same thing every day. Our goal is to award $10 million in trade school scholarships next year, and your donation has got us off to a terrific start.” “Happy to help,” said Carol. “And by the way, my kids and I loved Dirtiest Jobs. Do you think you’ll do more?” “Not unless it’s animated,” I said. “I don’t bend as easily as I used to.” Carol laughed. “I feel your pain,” she said. “Anything else?” “Well, at the risk of correcting you twice in one call, the show was called Dirty Jobs, not Dirtiest Jobs.” “Really? Are you sure?” “Pretty sure,” I said. “I did 350 of them.” “That’s so strange,” she said. “I could have sworn it was Dirtiest Jobs.” “It’s a common mistake,” I said. “TV has trained us to expect the extreme version of whatever it is we’re watching. It’s not ‘Home Makeover,’ it’s “EXTREME Home Makeover.’ It’s not America’s FUNNY Home Videos; it’s America’s FUNNIEST home videos. It’s not ‘Deadly Catch,’ it’s ‘DEADLIEST Catch.’ See what I mean? Everything is always oversold.” “But don’t you narrate ‘Deadliest Catch,’” Carol asked. “For the last 22 years," I said. But I didn’t name that show. If I did, I would have called it Deadly Catch. Not as sensational, but more honest. It goes to managing expectations.” “Ok,” said Carol, "but tell me this. If Dirty Jobs had been called “Dirtiest Jobs,” and there was only one-episode, which jobs would you put on it?” “Aren’t you late for a board meeting?” I asked. “They can start without me,” she said. I proceeded to tell Carol, in great detail, about my top three dirtiest jobs, and was deeply flattered to see her spit out a mouthful of coffee during my explanation of castrating sheep with my teeth. I was equally delighted when she guffawed during my description of semen-gathering from a prized bull, and very pleased when she gagged during my recollection of dogpaddling through several tons of diarrhea while replacing a ruptured lift pump in a wastewater treatment plant. When we finally hung up, Carol was a half-hour late for her board meeting, which I took as a personal victory. When she invited me to stay in touch, I assured her that I would. And the next morning, as I sat by the Christmas tree sipping eggnog, counting my blessings, and listening to Blind Willie Johnson sing Nobody’s Fault But Mine, I couldn’t help but wonder if Carol was doing the same. I like to think she was. Mike PS. mikeroweWORKS has always relied on the generosity of ordinary Americans who contribute modest amounts whenever they are able. That will always be the case. However, there is no denying the fact that lots of people this year are reducing their taxes in fairly dramatic fashion by donating highly appreciated stock to their favorite charities. This is most often accomplished through a Donor Advised Fund, which anyone who takes charitable giving seriously should have. It doesn't matter if you're rich - if you want to dramatically reduce your tax bill with charitable donations, a DAF is the best way to do it, especially if you want to donate appreciated assets like stock, art, real estate, etc. By donating appreciated stock instead of cash, Carol not only reduced her taxable income by 30%, she completely eliminated the capital gain tax she would have paid had she sold the stock. Bottom line, a big chunk of the money she would have paid in taxes, went instead to her favorite charities. One of which, happily, was mikeroweWORKS. May her example resonate from sea to shining sea! PPS. The rules surrounding DAFs are changing this year, and not for the better. If you're thinking of setting one up, you still have a few days. It's worth doing. Here's a primmer. bit.ly/4q9wiZ6 PPPS. I read somewhere that 50% of all charitable giving happens in December, and 30% of that happens in the last three days. With that in mind, any amount is most appreciated, at mikeroweWORKS. In the immortal words of Tiny Tim, God Bless Us, Everyone!

More outrageous liberal media bias: After years of cheering on the Left/Dominant Media attempts to stifle/punish conservative speech and cancel the lives of those they didn’t like, now the Washington Post and New York Times news desks are positively outraged that the Right is using the same techniques to punish those who have publicly spoken out against Kirk since his murder, often cheering. All of a sudden, free speech rights are sacrosanct and organized efforts to get someone cancelled are unacceptable. Amazing.

8 months ago, on election night, we were on top of the world after Polymarket called the election. 8 days later, the FBI broke down my door at 6am and took all my computers and phones, looking for anything that could imply foul play. While traumatic, it etched the story of Polymarket's accuracy, and the ensuing resistance, into the history of American politics. And today, I'm happy to announce that this chapter of the story is over. After cooperating and engaging, we've been cleared of any wrongdoing. Justice prevailed. God Bless America 🇺🇸

At the risk of offending everyone. Trump doesn’t win if Elon doesn’t buy X, but it wasn’t Elon’s posts thar swung it to Trump, it was Elon’s enabling freedom of speech, and ending Hunter Biden laptop suppression, so posters got the truth out. Lots of moving parts here.

If the facts of this post are not disputed by Scott Adams, he is absolutely the worst and possibly engaged in some kind of bizarre propaganda/engagement stunt.
William Makis@MakisMedicine

NEW ARTICLE: Scott Adams and the Betrayal of Modern Medicine Scott Adams is an American cartoonist, author, and commentator, best known for creating the Dilbert comic strip, which satirizes corporate culture and workplace dynamics. Scott has 1.2 million followers on Twitter. Scott’s most important post on Twitter at this time, which he has pinned, is the following. Interestingly, he mentions my name in a negative context. I followed Scott Adams in 2016 and found his insights into the US Presidential race fascinating. He called the 2016 election correctly, predicting that Donald Trump would win. He was one of the very few who had it right. So I was pleasantly surprised when Scott approached me in October 2024 for help with a serious health condition. Of course, I agreed to help. Fast forward to May 19, 2025. Scott let the world know that he has terminal Stage 4 Prostate Cancer metastatic to bones, that he tried Ivermectin and Fenbendazole with my assistance and that it didn’t work. He followed that up with a May 22, 2025 Tweet that again mentions my name and he has it pinned. It now has 2.3 million views. Since Scott’s May 19, 2025 video, my Twitter account has been flooded with hundreds of negative messages, attacks, threats, smears and I have had to block hundreds of Twitter accounts to protect myself from the tsunami of abuse. As they say: “No good deed goes unpunished”. SO WHAT EXACTLY HAPPENED? Scott’s story is tragic. He has been repeatedly betrayed by Modern Medicine. Let me explain. Scott took COVID-19 Vaccines. He trusted his doctors who would have assured him they were “Safe and Effective”. You can count that as a life-changing betrayal. Since then, Scott has made it very clear that those who didn’t take the COVID-19 Vaccines made the right choice and didn’t have to worry about impacts of the jabs on their health. It is probable that he suffered bodily injury as a result of the jabs. Scott was then betrayed by his Oncologists. It is clear that his Prostate Cancer was not treated properly. Prostate Cancer patients can live many years, even decades without progression, with the proper Cancer Treatment. I don’t know what Prostate Cancer treatments Scott took, who his Oncologists were or which Cancer Center he was treated at. But they failed to stop Scott’s cancer from progressing rapidly to a “terminal stage” in a short period of time. In addition to failing to treat his cancer properly, Scott’s Oncologist lied to him, repeatedly. First, he told Scott that Ivermectin wouldn’t work, even though he had no way of knowing whether it would or wouldn’t. Second, he told Scott that he had 0% chance of survival and would die shortly. I wish Scott had told us the name of his Oncologist, and the name of the Cancer Center he was treated at, so that other Cancer patients could avoid them and save themselves from harm. Unfortunately, he hasn’t given us these names. Instead, he has given the world my name, for reasons I don’t understand. I have never been Scott’s doctor. I was his Health Coach, very briefly. Our Health Coaching relationship lasted 1.5 months, at which point Scott left. Scott supposedly tried Ivermectin and Fenbendazole, for a total of 1 month. Scott never completed my Ivermectin Protocol, which is a minimum of 3 months with follow-up. So we will never know if Ivermectin and Fenbendazole would have worked for him or not. Trying it for one month and then stopping, is not sufficient to make any sort of conclusion. It is the equivalent of doing one chemo cycle, stopping and declaring chemo doesn’t work. It takes approximately 3 months to see significant changes on blood cancer markers and imaging. During that time, PSA may go up due to cancer cell killing and release of cancer antigens. So for the hundreds of Twitter posts which had the same identical language: “he tried it, it didn’t work”, all of these posts were entirely false. Scott didn’t try Ivermectin and Fenbendazole in any proper shape or form and we will never know if it would have worked for him or not. As for one final betrayal of modern medicine, Scott was told he has 0% chance of survival and would die in the next few months. This is an absurd lie from his Oncologist. There were many options still available for Scott. I could list them. Why Scott’s Oncologist lied to him repeatedly, I do not know. Scott it now trying an experimental treatment with “real doctors”, which apparently increases his chance of survival from 0% to 30%. This sounds like yet another lie, from what are presumably American Oncologists working either on an mRNA Cancer Vaccine, or some type of expensive Immune stimulating infusion. I strongly suspect once we find out what this treatment is, we will also find out it is very expensive. Will it just happen to be ready for market rollout? Modern medicine has betrayed Scott over and over and over. Modern medicine has damaged and possibly destroyed Scott’s health. Scott’s doctors have repeatedly lied to him while failing to treat him properly. And yet, amidst all of this betrayal of Modern Medicine, Scott doesn’t give us his doctors’ names, or the name of the Cancer Center that failed to treat him properly. Instead, he has my name pinned to his very popular Twitter account, with 2.3 million views. I don’t regret helping Scott Adams. I can sleep well at night. You can help someone only to the degree that they want to be helped. Presumably, all the doctors who have harmed Scott can sleep well at night too, having been amply compensated for selling pharmaceutical products that have brought Scott nothing but harm to his health. They will go on to harm others, as they have not been exposed publicly. And that is another tragic aspect to all of this. The bad doctors get rewarded. Always. Scott’s betrayal by Modern Medicine is a cautionary tale. I took some important lessons from this experience. I hope you did too. I wish Scott Adams nothing but the best, may he beat his Stage 4 Cancer, despite Modern Medicine’s best efforts to prevent him from doing so. Good luck Scott.
