This is actually the coolest challenge of building a 100% offline, privacy first app. Because zero data leaves their phone, I don't have analytics dashboards tracking their daily usage. For me, the sign that it’s becoming a habit will be when users use the AI to handle a slip up. Like if they eat off plan or miss a gym day, instead of giving up, they open the app specifically to see how the AI recalibrates their next session to get them back on track.Since I can't track that , the real validation will be qualitative, users organically sharing their streaks, asking for long term stat visualization, or wanting to know how to back up their local SQLite database so they don't lose their history.
English

@tushardev_ @buildinpublic Because sometimes reducing friction gets adoption started, but consistency usually comes from users feeling progress, dependency, or continuity across sessions.
Curious what behavior would make you feel“okay, this is becoming a habit instead of just a useful tool people test once?
English

ActiBite makes meal logging entirely frictionless. Point the camera, scan the barcode, and you're done.
This is powered by the incredible @OpenFoodFacts
Since ActiBite is a 100% free tool, I’d love to collaborate with the team so users can easily contribute missing items and expand their open-source database natively right from the app.
Alpha is dropping very soon. #buildinpublic

I just completed the Learn Git course on @bootdotdev!
I have been using git for years but still this taught me a few new things.
Thanks @wagslane and @primeagen for making this course.

Spot on. Since I'm launching the alpha this week, I don't have real user data yet.
Right now, I'm just focusing on that first experience, making sure they see the value instantly by generating a workout offline.
Really excited to see if that friction-free start is what keeps them coming back.
English

@tushardev_ @buildinpublic and it's interesting how often the real bottleneck isn't the product itself but how users experience and perceive value.
Curious if you're seeing any patterns in user behavior yet.
English

For beginners, it completely removes decision fatigue no thinking, just open, generate, and move.
For long-term habit building, the app logs their data locally. The AI builds on their history and logged meals so that every new workout adapts to their actual progress. The app literally gets more personalized the more they use it.
English

@tushardev_ @buildinpublic From what I've seen, most products don't struggle with capability long-term, they struggle with becoming part of a user's default workflow or routine.
Is that something you're actively thinking about right now, or is the focus mainly on expanding the product itself?

@launch_llama ActiBite , A fully local and free of cost nutrition tracker, workout tracker, and coach (using a local LLM).
It generates custom workouts, recipes, and health tips throughout the day based entirely on your on device logs.
English

@AskVenice UPDATE: I changed my mind. I'm not charging $100, and I’m not doing subscriptions.
ActiBite is now 100% FREE. Core tracking runs locally, and you can Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) for the AI. No servers, no data selling, no cost.
English

Fitness apps harvest your data to sell ads. I got tired of it, so I built my own.
Here is a raw screen recording of ActiBite’s AI workout generator in action.
Powered by a hybrid of local on-device algorithms and @AskVenice via a zero-retention proxy (no logs kept, ever)
Workouts dynamically adapt to your daily activity, progress, and logged meals.
Saves directly on device.
Stop renting your health data.
Waitlist in the replies.

Downloaded a fitness app, deleted it 10 mins later, and now their sales team is calling me like i owe them money.
Building an offline-first tracker so we can finally stop giving random data-brokers our real numbers. peace and quiet > being harassed by a pedometer.

@ShyGuy_Studio @wagslane I hate that #buildinpublic has become 'my AI SaaS is gonna change the world' posting and it's killing me. I'm just here trying to show my little project
English

@wagslane That's no fun, and definitely not for the #buildinpublic crowd

@GithubProjects An e-ink smartwatch. Breadboard chaos right now but the e-paper display is actually talking to the ESP32 and the accelerometer is reading motion. still fighting the temp sensor.
