@Beno10_MFC I can do it moving one stick. Take the lower vertical stick from the 2 and move it to the right to make it a 3. 903 is larger than 902.

We’re not all going to be elected pope, but we can all do this!

Pope Leo when he realized the cardinals were about to elect him: “I took a deep breath, I said here we go Lord, you’re in charge, you lead the way” #Conclave #1Year🎂

@UcheMaryOkoli When this happens to me, I borrow a technique from the Zen Buddhists: I notice the thought, but I don't argue with it, fight it, or feel shame about it. I just notice it and let it go. It's a reminder of my fallen nature, but I am in the presence of Jesus, so I refocus on Him.

@DrHelenFry Yes, my grandfather and three uncles. My father was born in 1929 and deemed too young, but he joined the military in 1947 and served 21 years.

@ceanomario155 @CatholicForLife I am not proud to be Catholic, but I am extraordinarily grateful to be Catholic.

@AllieJade1 First of all, my father would not have tolerated my screaming at my mother. Second, if I didn’t want to eat, I’d have been sent to bed hungry, probably with a smack on my rear ended for good measure. Kid needs a reboot.

This young couple brought home takeout hamburgers for dinner. Their son took one look at his burger and had a full-on meltdown. He wasn’t happy with how it looked and insisted it wasn’t what he wanted or how burgers are supposed to look.
We’ve all seen these videos where kids flip the switch and start crying and throwing a tantrum. Towards the end of the video, the mom knows he wasn’t going to eat the burger and so offers a chicken nugget instead.
Are the parents handling this correctly? Is there a real difference in the way different generations handled these kinds of flip-outs?
Are today’s parents getting it right, or are they doing their kids a disservice by not teaching them to regulate their emotions?

@LucasSa56947288 You mean besides the gaudy display of gold? Trump thinks it’s “classy,” but Charles knows it’s gauche. Would love to be a fly on the wall when Charles and Camilla roast the Americans on the flight home!

Stanford scientists found one bacteria missing in almost every obese, diabetic, and inflamed patient they studied.
It's supposed to make up 3-5% of your gut.
In people with metabolic problems, it's often 3,000 times lower.
This bacteria has one job.
It lives in the mucus lining of your gut wall,
The last layer of defense between your bloodstream and the outside world.
It eats old mucus, stimulates your body to make fresh mucus, and seals the wall tight.
When it's there, your gut barrier is strong.
When it's gone, the wall thins:
Weight becomes harder to lose
Food particles leak through
Blood sugar misbehaves
Cholesterol creeps up
Inflammation climbs
Researchers at Nature Medicine gave this bacteria to overweight adults for 3 months.
The results:
- Cholesterol dropped
- Insulin sensitivity improved
- Liver inflammation markers fell
- Gut barrier function strengthened
- Body weight started trending down without a single diet change
Here's what people are reporting when they rebuild this strain and its probiotic cousins:
Blood sugar stabilizing
Cravings for sugar fading
Bloating disappearing in days
Skin clearing after years of struggle
Clothes fitting differently in a matter of weeks
What destroys this bacteria?
Alcohol
Antibiotics
Chronic stress
Artificial sweeteners
High-fat, high-sugar processed diets
You can't buy this specific strain at most health food stores.
But you can feed the bacteria you already have, and colonize with related strains that do similar work -
At levels 10x higher than any capsule.
The trick is fermentation.
A jar of homemade yogurt fermented with the right strain for 36 hours at the right temperature can deliver 200+ billion live probiotic cultures per serving.
A store-bought yogurt?
Maybe 1 billion if you're lucky.
Dr. William Davis (author of "Super Gut") has spent years documenting exactly how to do this at home.
I've been making it myself for 3 years.
The difference in how I feel is night and day.

@The_Nutscracker @MerriamWebster Fun fact: supersede is the only English word that ends in -sede. That’s how I was able to remember it when I was a kid.
English

@MerriamWebster Supersede. I always go for "supercede"

@iky_fwjett YTA. The bond between twins is at least as strong as that between mother and child. How dare you keep her from her twin’s funeral. You should be ashamed.

@Recca4779 @chefsevenn A heaping tablespoon of Nesquick would have made the milk go down!
English

Oh I got forced to sit at the dinner table until I fell asleep in the chair and my dad would carry me to bed. That often happened with milk. I wasn’t a picky eater so much but I hated milk. My parents were big on me drinking one of those small Tupperware cups of milk with dinner. But I just hated it. I told them I wouldn’t drink pee and that’s what it is. lol. Plus that Pee came out of an animal that smells bad! I still hate milk. I would try to sip it, but it would be warm from sitting out for an hour and I would just gag. Eventually they gave up, But yes, I spent many of nights falling asleep at the dinner table and waking up to my dad carrying me to bed. Hahaha! Memories!❤️❤️❤️
English

@chefsevenn We had no choice. We ate what she made or went to bed hungry. But we did not snack between meals, so at dinnertime, we were starving, especially after being outside playing all day. Everything tasted good, and we usually had seconds.

@KeruboSk Don’t agree to bf’s terms. It’s easy for him to say he’ll do the right thing but if you have a bad breakup, he won’t, and you’ll have no legal recourse. Alternative 1: Buy a smaller house for which your contribution would equal 50%. Alternative 2: Get married.
English

My boyfriend and I are planning to buy a house together after dating for 3 years.
He earns significantly more than I do, so he’d be contributing about 70% of the down payment. Because of that, he wants the house to be only in his name.
He says it’s just “fair” based on the numbers, but we’d both be living there, splitting bills, and building a life together.
I’ve been watching a lot of relationship content about equity vs equality, and it made me realize things don’t always have to be 50/50 but this feels like I’d have no security at all.
He said if we ever broke up, he’d “do the right thing,” but that doesn’t really reassure me.
My friends say don’t move in unless my name is on it. His friends apparently think I’m being entitled.
Now I feel stuck between trusting him and protecting myself.
Is this a red flag I’m trying too hard to rationalize?
