Think about it
4th & 16 PI to bail out the Chiefs against the Bengals
Blatant PI in the end zone that would have made it 1st & goal from the 1 yard line was completely neglected in the Chiefs favor
Have we ever seen a single team receive so many one-sided game changing calls?
@SixersAdam You're way off here. He's going to be their 6th man based on usage last year. Lowry is 38 and his playoff performance left alot ot be desired last season. He and Gordon are going to be in and out of rotation based on injuries and such.
Reggie Jackson on a minimum is not the steal of the century, but he is totally acceptable as a third-strong point guard, so it’s a fine deal. Would imagine he will not be part of the regular rotation when the season opens barring an injury. Hurts Jeff Dowtin Jr.‘s stock a bit.
@KlutchKris76 No reason to do those older vets yet. Let's explore younger and higher upside guys like RC4. Even Keve and Mintz deserve a look for next couple weeks before committing. Those guys are not going anywhere yet.
Sixers have 4 veteran minimum slots available (assuming we sign KJ Martin). Who are the most ideal vets? Who are the most realistic vets?
Most Ideal: Dennis Smith, Gary Trent, Jae Crowder, Gordon Hayward
Most Realistic: Kyle Lowry, Marcus Morris, Robert Covington, Jeff Dowtin
@Donze_77@HurtsyIvania Eric Gordon is savvy vet at end of bench and there to mentor more than anything at this point. Council and McCain will lock that spot up by mid year.
"Sixers only sign washed up bums"
Martin 28
Oubre 28
Maxey 23
McCain 20
Ricky Council 22
Adem Bona 21
Embiid 30
Drummond 30
George 34 (played 74 of 82 games last year)
@NetsFrequent Not doing KJ Martin even up for him. Rather keep him. There will be other vets out there or buyouts in February. Can survive til then. He's not worth any real compensation. 8.5 points per game last year. Stats are unimpressive. 31 year old role player making 15 million. Nah!
@JWeinbachNBA For now, Sixers have done most of the heavy lifting. Think they can ride this outnwith NN at the helm & see how it all shakes out. No rush!. They've had years of 4 on 5 w/Thybulle & Tucker on offense. KJ Martin might fill the bill on his own & do the dirty work the lineup needs.
Despite the recent signing of Caleb Martin, there’s still a strong possibility that the Sixers pursue a trade for Nets forward Dorian Finney-Smith.
Philly can meet Brooklyn’s asking price of a future first-round pick, and a KJ Martin sign-and-trade could also be on the table.
Sixers last 5 spots
1) Lonnie Walker
2) Luke Kennard
3) Markelle Fultz
4) Dario Saric
5) Haywood Highsmith
Good mix of familiarity, experience mixed with youth, scoring, shooting, passing & rebounding. And no one older than 30 years old here. @dmorey make the magic happen.
Embiid window is closing. Give Utah every last asset we have and the failure that is paul reed and bring me Lauri Markkanen.
also sign Markelle Fultz and Ben Simmons.
@sixers
In all seriousness, I'd bring Tobias Harris back to Philadelphia for $8-$12 a year. There are a lot of fans who are mad at Tobias, but he hustles, plays solid defense, and grabs rebounds.
@Zwick_Christian Fred Johnson at swing tackle is probably ahead of 6th rounder McMahon. Burks makes it on special teams & dire need for LB's. & Jobe stays as special teams ace. Brown on PUP for 1st half season & Albert O goes to PS. Agree otherwise.
Practice Squad (16): Will Grier, Kendall Milton, Joseph Ngata, Austin Watkins, Grant Calcaterra, Fred Johnson, Anim Dankwah, Gottlieb Ayedze, Julian Okwara, Patrick Johnson, Oren Burks, Brandon Smith, Zech McPhearson, Josh Jobe, Mekhi Garner, Tristin McCollum
@mrcrockpot@Anthony60957284 Tobias Harris is Mr. Invisible. Was Morey's biggest failing. Not dumping him like he did Horford, Simmons, Harden and Tucker. That was the one he should have done as soon as he got into town. Did better on the others. Sure was alot of dead weight on this team with bad contracts.
@Anthony60957284 I think step one involves fixing the Tobias situation
And that's on Nick Nurse, playing Tobias 30+ minutes in this series is just ridiculous
@SmallToxy@over_tok@KnicksMuse If u have been watching lately. Embiid passing the ball better than ever & not forcing it. Hield, Batum Payne & Reed is a solid bench compared to past years. Oubre instead of Matisse in starting lineup also an upgrade. Lowry is a pro & clutch. Melton not so much! Talk after. 😉
@thesilentMIA I am. 😉 Sixers on 9 game winning streak since Embiid came back. Hasn't had to dominate. Conditioning is off. But passing the ball better as teams gang up.Kinda like this version, but power & finesse is less. For now! A 70% Embiid destroys most centers in NBA still. 2 way force!
@tuxxologist On one leg? And saying this after watching Jimmy? Hilarious. If wanna keep going that route, Heat had no 20ppg starting pg, Herro had an off night and Heat were missing their best 3pt shooter and lost Jimmy at the end. Enjoy your 1pt victory.
No matter how poor Miami’s offensive execution was down the stretch vs Philly, Butler would’ve closed it out if he stayed on the floor.
Sixers left the door very open for a while despite Batum’s 3pt flurry.
This would’ve been a blowout win if no injury.
@over_tok@KnicksMuse Knicks will come out rusty in 1st Half. Expect Sixers to have lead early here & hold on to win & regain home court. Knicks are overachievers in my mind. If Brunson doesn't play out of his mind, they lose. Sixers can take turns & have depth. Philly only can beat themselves here.
@greg728_@jasonmyrt He will be on LTIR before too long. Massive overpay on contract by previous regime and rewarding on past achievements. Flyers always seem to have 2 or 3 horrendous contracts since I can remember.
Johnny Gaudreau
30 years old
75 games played
11 goals
45 assists
56 points
5 more years at 9.75 million and 2 more years with full NMC with the 3 after as a M-NTC
Ouch. Sometimes the best things are the things you do NOT do!!!
