Love it. A friend said: “British culture is like The Wicker Man told from the perspective of the villagers.”

Russia has hastily organized a propaganda tour for fake journalists in its continued effort to paint the narrative that Ukrainian Forces' strike on a military concentration in the town of Starobilsk in Russian occupied Luhansk was actually civilian.
Several of the most notorious and pathetic of Russia's roster of paid influencers are in attendance.
Among the notable "journalists":
• Chay Bowes, Ireland - a well-known pro-Kremlin propagandist, working directly for RT (Russia Today).
• Saad Khalaf, Saudi Arabia - a correspondent for Al Arabiya in Moscow, regularly covering events from a position favorable to Russia.
• Eldran Ajdar, Turkey - a little-known Turkish journalist.
• Giovanni Pigni, Italy - living in St. Petersburg since 2015. He writes for La Stampa. In July 2025, his article was published, in which he talked with Denis Pushilin about the "recovery of Donbass" at the St. Petersburg Economic Forum. He actively covers events from the territory of Russia.
• Lu Yuguang, China - for Phoenix TV, one of the few foreigners who have been working on the Russian side for a long time. In June 2025, Russian media actively circulated news that he was injured by a Ukrainian drone strike in Kursk region.
The Russian authorities urgently organized this press tour for these foreign "journalists" with the aim of creating the appearance of "international confirmation" of their version.

@HeidiBachram The IRGC handlers start banging their little drums and droning out the toneless chants for the camera...
English

@MurielMbe @jo_bartosch That has flipped from sordid to Carry On up the Car Park
English

@jo_bartosch The sort of existence that would keep him under the radar. If you’re leading an “alternative” life style, live it in a caravan. Park it somewhere for meet ups. Keep clientele away from scrutiny and of course….the wife. Little luxuries can impress the poorest in society.
English

@boswelltoday The head tilts, and body language always look to me like someone desperately trying to evade scrutiny.
English

Seven hours of “no comment”.
After all the trembling-voiced sermons. After all the moral superiority. After all the staged sincerity and little head tilts of wounded virtue.
Nicola Sturgeon, when finally placed under pressure, chose silence.
What a grim, self-serving fraud she turned out to be.
Into the sea.

English

@JoanMcAlpine So you think they breached their fiduciary duty of care to act in the interests of the organisation and its members.
There is a legal remedy.

Like every other SNP parliamentarian, I gave the party £250 per month from my personal income after tax. Adding my party membership fees (paid at an enhanced rate) , I think it came to £35,000 over ten years. The £250 sub was an obligation for all MPs and MSPs, but I was happy to pay, as I believed it was going to the cause - not to keep Sturgeon in Smythson handbags and Mountblanc pens (stolen goods she was pictured with in this @TheSun report 👇). I had a good salary. But what of all the decent working people - as @joannaccherry pointed out today - who could ill afford the £10 or £20 donations they made to @theSNP ? It’s disgusting, and requires an internal investigation. Or rather an independent investigation. Who was monitoring the spend within the SNP? How come the former volunteer treasurer and former volunteer officials who questioned the finances were slapped down by @NicolaSturgeon and her acolytes? There remain good people at the top of the party ( of which I remain a member BTW) and I hope they will now abandon their misplaced loyalty to the former leader whose position meant she signed off the accounts, as I understand it. Finally…..well done to @WingsScotland for triggering the investigation - pilloried from all sides but vindicated today.

EXCL: Nicola Sturgeon refused to comment and sat in silence for hours during her police interview - despite publicly claiming to be "cooperating fully" with cops thescottishsun.co.uk/news/16305227/…
English

Shut the fuck up about the finances.
Nicola boasts that the SNP has “never been in a stronger financial position,” then immediately pivots to gaslighting anyone who dares suggest otherwise. “Be very careful,” she snarls, about raising concerns because donors might get spooked.
This full throated attack to try and stop anyone looking at the accounts which would have revealed her husband’s crime is a prima facieinstance of conspiracy and obstruction of justice.

@francesbarber13 True, but it has united the nation with comedy.

@Haters_Eat_Shit @Alexandr4Denman Pursuing him into the carriage Pencille had gone into put the incident into a different light.
I've always thought it was a miscarriage of justice.
English

A little context... Pencille was annoyed that Lee Pomeroy walked in his path and muttered something as he walked away from Pomeroy down the train carriage.
Pomeroy then pursued Pencille into the next train carriage to pick a fight with him for muttering, leaving his son in the other carriage.
Not saying he should have been stabbed but he was clearly a bit of an egotist to consider pursuing Pencille to argue with him more important than his day out with his son.
Pencille had just been released from a secure psychiatric unit where he was sectioned despite asking to stay in and telling them that he was not ready to go back into society
English

This is CCTV photo of Lee Pomeroy a dad that's was travelling from Guilford to London with his 14 year old son , a row broke out with the other one pictured sitting down David Pencille when he blocked the aisle moments later Pencille stabbed Lee in front of his son 18 times in a frenzied attack and left him to bleed out and die at Horsley station in front of horrified passengers , this was one day before the dads 52nd birthday . Of course Pencille tried to deny the murder and said it was self defence but thankfully justice served as the jury all agreed to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 28 years , all very well but it doesn't bring the loving father and husband back in my mind .Very sad and proves our country is no longer safe for anyone

English

@MariaSc90701399 @jurgen_nauditt Also, they're disappointed it's a failure, not that it was started.
English

@jurgen_nauditt Unfortunately it seems the disappointment is not yet deep enough to trigger “something”….

An internal crisis is brewing in Russia: dissatisfaction with Putin’s policies and the course of the war is growing among the Russian elites and security forces – The Guardian.
The article notes that Putin’s inner circle is gradually losing confidence in him, and the Kremlin dictator himself is becoming increasingly isolated.
Nevertheless, according to sources and intelligence reports, Putin does not plan to end the war and remains determined to continue the fighting.
A representative of the Russian elites stated that there has been a "perceptible shift in mood" within Kremlin circles this year, and that a "deep disappointment with Putin" prevails.
According to this interlocutor, individuals who had previously actively supported the Kremlin leader are now increasingly distancing themselves from him, and "any sense of a future has vanished."

£400,000 embezzled from the SNP by Peter Murrell, but where did it all go? Previous reporting pointed to:
Campervan: £124,550 of party funds, said to be for Murrell’s personal use.
Jaguar I-PACE: £57,500 of SNP money towards an £81,000 car.
Volkswagen Golf: £16,489 towards a £33,000 car.
Also, jewellery, cosmetics, designer and luxury goods, shoes, and a luxury pen (whatever that is).

@FrauForelle @msloobylou @rcuffy They should freeze the Carling and use it for cooking?

@msloobylou @rcuffy Stick it in cubes in the freezer and use it for cooking if you're not keen. Like the "Carling is piss" lads who think Stella is refined.
