These are deliberately picked photos and should not necessarily be taken as representative of all of Britain. But growing up in the former S*viet bloc feels like the exact opposite of this image; urban spaces have gotten a complete makeover, my family's property value increased.

I love when accounts like this feel like they’re in a position to lecture people about what’s weird.
