It is written, so it shall be done. Donald Trump will get re-elected as president in November 2024. Nothing that democrats, George Soros, Courts, or I can do about it.

@USronaldcarter So Trump acted....bravely....by bombing and demolishing their nuclear sites in 2025. Ok fine. What is he doing there in 2026? (Because the intelligence again said Iran is weeks away from nuclear weapon ??) If Biden had attacked Iran would you have believed the intelligence?

I just got off the phone with someone who works in defense policy in Washington. What they told me should end every "Trump is reckless" argument permanently. "Every single president since Clinton received the same intelligence briefing on Iran's nuclear timeline. Every single one was told the window was closing. Every single one chose to kick it down the road because the political cost of acting was higher than the political cost of waiting." Trump got the same briefing. 60kg of 90% enriched uranium. 4 weeks to breakout. Material for 2 bombs. He chose to act knowing it would tank his approval to 35%. He chose to act knowing his own base would split. He chose to act knowing NATO allies would refuse to help. He chose to act knowing gas prices would spike. A senior analyst I know at a major think tank put it this way: "The difference between Trump and every president before him isn't intelligence. They all had the same data. The difference is courage." Read that again. Every president had the same file on their desk. Only one opened it and did something. I'll keep you updated. Turn on notifications. 🚨

@matthewherper I am not saying that for myself. I am saying that for the kind of people who do not trust experts, but easily believe stuff they read on social media.

There is a fascinating op-ed piece in STAT from a doctor whose patient rejected a statin -- one of the most tested drug classes in existence -- but chose to take an untested peptide for cardiovascular risk. "My patient is intelligent, motivated, and doing what she believes is best for her body," Vikas Patel. "She also represents a pattern I now see weekly in my practice, and it reveals something more alarming than any individual treatment decision: "In consumer health culture, the volume of evidence behind a therapy has become inversely correlated with public trust in it." I want to throw some cold water on this. The author's practice is in longevity medicine, and there is no evidence that consumers in bulk are choosing peptides over statins. In fact, according to IQVIA, cholesterol medicines (largely statins) are the second-most prescribed drug category, after hypertension medicines. This is probably because people generally only take one cholesterol med, but oftennneed multiple blood pressure meds. Estimates of how many people in the US take statins come in at about 40 million got 50 million people certainly north of 10% of the population. But the other problem is true. There is a part of the population where more information results in worse decisions. And people find it very easy to convince themselves that medicine's that don't work do, and that medicine's we're certain extend life are not worth taking.

I blame the MAGA grifters and people like Julie Kelly and Mike Davis as to why Republicans will lose the midterms and possibly 2028. People think Congressional Republicans & Pam Bondi are just sitting on mountains of evidence and refusing to bring charges against people. They’re obviously not. But the narrative that ALL these people (Obama, Biden, Hillary, Jack Smith, Comey, Schiff, you name it) were breaking a million different laws has been beaten into their brains for the past 4+ years. More people voted for retribution & arrests than everyone wants to admit. No one is going to switch over and vote for Democrats, but a lot of people won’t vote at all because they blame Republicans for the lack of accountability. See the problem with having zero ideological consistency and lying constantly just to get votes? People expect action, and none of it was ever going to happen.
Finley@RJFinbar

@julie_kelly2 The fantasy was nice while it lasted. But the idea that any of these gangsters from Comey to Latitia, Brennan to Jack Smith are gonna face the justice with the Bondi DOJ or the Congressional GOP seems like nothing but a whispy dream.

@adamscochran With Iran's toll of $2M per tanker, it would add maybe $2-$5 per barrel in costs, but pressure of additional supply will drive down current prices, more than compensating for the toll. US will not let it happen though because it will look so bad for US.

@theliamnissan I do not find it gross - because this happens all the time and is socially accepted. This is much better than Kristi Noem's "arrangement".

I live in Texas. I’m ready for my state to succeed from the United States. I used to hate that kind of talk from my fellow Texans. But I’m ready for it. The Supreme Court is a joke. They’ve reduced the constitution to just a piece of paper at this point. It’s meaningless. They are willing to give our country over to foreigners because of an old document.

A common sense Supreme Court (SCOTUS) ruling: If you have legal presence in the U.S. and your child is born here → citizen. If you’re not here legally → not a citizen. It won’t happen because it’s common sense.

@atrupar Trump's thoughts are always filled with contradictions. Biden was sleepy and "gone" but he went after Trump in the most vengeful way. Somalians are low IQ but they execute smart frauds.

An American citizen’s baby can’t become a Chinese citizen by being born on the soil of China. Can anyone explain why a Chinese citizen’s baby should be able to become an American citizen by being born on the soil here? It’s absolute insanity.

@Jasonlewis54 @walthodgson @jaspap27 @theliamnissan Well Iran can be brought under control but it would be long + messy, requiring boots on the ground and help from other countries. Meanwhile Trump will be facing economy impact (high gas prices) and dip in popularity, in election year. So no one is sure if he will hold or fold.

Jennings: But the president's remarks tonight, I interpreted it as they were trying to rebuild, or at least in the early stages of attempting to rebuild in a different location. Phillip: Well, that would contradict what Tulsi Gabbard said.

@wotsin_ @adamscochran This is where MAGA folks get it wrong. It does not mean "foreigners, AND those who belong to the families of..." but means "foreigners who belong to the families of..." Missing AND is a key element here. If you read the whole debate you will know above is the truth.
