idc what you call yourself, the solution to someone smoking in a public place is not to call the cops. You deal with it for the 5 minutes they’re smoking or move cars, and pray we can work towards living in a high trust society. cops have killed over noise complaints.

@twosnips Ignoring it and letting it happen isn’t the the solution towards a high trust society either. Someone has to regulate or “police” unsocial behavior, whether it’s under capitalism or communism. Smoking on a train is a v small example of the larger conversation this pertains to.

@twosnips There are so many cases where "dealing with it for 5 mins or moving cars is not an option", like if the cars are full or if someone has asthma or is a parent with a young child. The only real recourse in that case is calling an authority to remove the smoker
