Prusa seems to have gone a long way since the first one I bought 4 years ago. The first one I got was a total joke though and I haven't looked at them ever since. I might get a Core One+ to try it out vs the H2S although the H2S as I said has been amazing + bigger bed + slightly cheaper.

@twraps @i_newm78 @RivianTrackr @BambulabGlobal I saw that. I’m going CORE One with INDX. 2 screws to access the boards in both XL and MK4S. Assembled both as kits so know what I’m doing* *I’m still a moron

Notice that they redesigned AMS 2 for better serviceability...still as unreliable in my experience (I bought one) but easier to service haha. Also I got the H2S for testing (these are X1Cs in the factory) and the H2S has been amazing so far but it doesn't see the same abuse as the X1Cs that are on the factory floor.

@Hilbe @i_newm78 @RivianTrackr @BambulabGlobal The AMS indeed is not reliable. I don't like them either. But the printers themselves have been pretty good. Yes, we have changed belts, PCBs, lidars etc, but not on all and those are printers that run pretty much 24/7 for almost 2 years now, printing ABSCF.

I’m about to lose 1 of my 4 BL AMS. 3/4 have failed parts. I can sacrifice the least good AMS and not buy anything. The main board issues on the BL will be pricey to fix so I’m limping along with work arounds (jiggle cables, reboot, etc). I wouldn’t buy these unless I needed a budget machine.
