I think this is because Banks and Crypto companies are deciding the rules and regulations based on what's best for their pockets as opposed to elected officials writing rules for whats in the best interest of the people. It's sad but based off of the history of our financial system I am shocked anyone expected a different outcome.

i've never been a memecoin person. for a long time i couldn't understand what on earth memecoins were for. i mean, what is the point in them. kinda like nfts, but without the artistry. fast up, fast down. no more than pure tools for extraction. that's what i thought. but over time i've realised memecoins aren't all bad. and they can actually be pretty cool. kinda like how i originally thought nfts were dumb. before i saw how many people they onboarded and basically became essential to launching new blockchains/ecosystems. memecoins are different. they can't be treated like utility. one of the first fast memecoins i bought, i treated like a store of value coin and held it. i checked in again a few days later and it had gone down double digits % and i hodled. and now it's basically worth nothing. but that's part of the learning curve. memecoins are memetic. they represent attention. and attention is fleeting. but attention is valuable. so i can't help but see how memecoins will help to tokenise the economy we're coming to realise is: the attention economy. when i was at school one of my teachers had a poster up at the front of the classroom, just below the whiteboard. it said: if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life thinking it's stupid. not all coins are created equal. there are many which are outright scams. there are many which will never take off. but there are some which find coin-attention-market fit and capture the public attention. if there's one thing i've continuously had to learn in crypto, it's that there are many fundamentally different coins. coins don't always fit into one neat description or box. on one end of the spectrum there are stores of value. on the other there are memecoins (or even outright scams). it's a spectrum. and it's vital to understand what we're dealing with on the spectrum. if you don't understand the spectrum yet, don't go anywhere near memecoins. they're highly volatile, and it's a dog eat dog world out there. just watch them and see if you agree with me. i think you'll find they're a fascinating phenomenon.

@_fr3shprinc3__ I agree it should be moved to tx to earn rewards and secure the chain. Problem is thats up to each individual holder to move over, not the team. They could of have a forced migration date, but that creates a whole other set of grievances.
