This is downright concerning, and there is now enough model agreement to sound the alarm bells. A widespread swath of heavy snow is expected, with totals ranging from six inches to over a foot and a half across the Ohio Valley, the Deep South, and the Mid-Atlantic. This storm will be crippling, causing major impacts, and everyone needs to take this seriously. Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Little Rock, Memphis, Nashville, Charleston, WV, and much of the Mid-Atlantic coast are all in the bullseye for a CRIPPLING winter storm, and this is just the snow component. (Refer to my post this morning about crippling Ice potential south of the snow Line). Some of these areas typically struggle with only a few inches of snow and could see over a foot. We are looking at one of the most significant winter storms in many, many years. The time to prepare is now but DO NOT panic!
