The Ink Foundation is contributing to the coordinated DeFi relief effort around the rsETH incident, alongside @aave @tydroHQ and other ecosystem participants. Our contribution supports restoration of the rsETH backing as part of an orderly resolution across the ecosystem. Further detail will follow through official channels.

Tydro update: wETH unpaused Withdraw, supply, repay, and borrow are re-enabled on Tydro's wETH market with LTV set to 0. Larger lenders have agreed to hold positions until DeFi United funds are transferred to rsETH backing, so no bad debt should be realized by users. Once rsETH backing is complete, Tydro and Ink will clear any residual losses (expected to be minimal or zero). wETH borrowing LTV will be restored in the near future. Ink Points on wETH will resume shortly, with extra allocations planned to offset delays and elevated borrow costs during the freeze (more details to come). As always, thank you for your patience. Aave LLC has filed an emergency motion to vacate a restraining notice served on Arbitrum DAO on May 1, 2026 that attempts to seize approximately $71 million in ETH belonging to victims of the April 18 exploit. A thief does not gain lawful ownership of stolen property simply by taking it, and the law is clear on this. Those assets were recovered to be returned to users victimized in the April 18, 2026 exploit. Freezing them harms the very people this recovery effort is designed to protect. We’ve asked the court for an expedited hearing and a temporary vacatur, and we are continuing to work alongside the Arbitrum community and DeFi United to make affected users whole.
