Random Take: I’d love to know the people who voted on the top 75 NBA players of all time thought Carmelo Anthony was better than Joe Dumars. You totally don’t know ball if you think that was the case.

This "legal guarding position" nonsense needs to end This was an offensive foul (or a no call) for the first 70 years of the NBA An offensive player can now plow into a defender's stomach simply because he's not standing 100% perfectly still?

@LevAkabas Nah man. That’s a nasty flop by Reaves. For the first 70 years of the NBA dudes actually tried to guard their man out there and didn’t fall down a dozen times per game trying to draw stupid fouls Quit foul hunting and play!

@Artburner22 @517to214 Also gave prime Kawhi and Paul George a run for their money and had em against the wall, and we’re getting smoked by an 8 seed right now.

@Artburner22 @517to214 No he hasn’t. Not for his first two playoff runs. Jalen Brunson didn’t get playoff run until the year the Mavs made the WCF. It was just Luka and friends his first two playoff runs and he averaged the most points in playoff history with no secondary creator.

God bless Cade but yall let Jeff Teague say he was better than Luka. My issue with that was let him do what Luka has done in the playoffs before you crown him.

Corner 3’s aren’t easier because of a mere 1 foot 9 inch difference. The internal joint velocities at the elbow, wrist, & overall hand interaction to control the distance the ball travels with precision is negligible at best 22 Vs 23.9. Space & time generated, a major constituent. Glaringly, the “only option here is to shoot this” IS a MAJOR constituent impacting the visual evidence. (vs in other context-situations other potential solutions exist which easily disrupt timing, rhythm & coordinative efforts “prior to and or at the catch of the ball”. @trainwjc

Steve Kerr says he would consider ELIMINATING the three-point line to make the game more creative “I would never do a four-point play. In fact, I would even consider getting rid of the three-point line. I just think that the game, as it was designed, is really to create the best shots possible. That’s why in the early days, you just throw it inside to the big guy. A three-point line came from the A.B.A., in 1979, and I think it was really effective. It makes for an exciting play, but the analytics revolution has created a weird situation where we all know exactly where the highest efficiency shots are: layups and corner threes because the corner three is twenty-two feet and not 23.9, like the up above the break. You have this whole no man’s land between those areas. So if you shoot a twenty-two-footer now from the top of the key, that’s considered a really bad shot. I just wonder—and I don’t know if this would work or not—if we got rid of the three-point line, if it would diversify the way everybody would play and create a lot of different creative solutions to basketball.” (Via @NewYorker , newyorker.com/news/the-new-y…)

Solid pick but why is he better than Freeling? Not criticizing but wondering what difference is between the 2.

Michigan fans slowly realizing they will never have a transfer class like that again, not because of money but because there won’t be 3 super skilled giants in the Portal every year let alone 3 that go to the same team.. It was pretty obvious that was never happening again lol

@ColeMecham @LukaDickMe @notgaetti @UMFL2002 A way around it, you could say “a perfect game is something that occurs in nine innings. The pitcher had a perfect game in nine innings, therefore he had a perfect game.” Then you could pull him for extras since it already counts for him.

It's an open question, I feel like. Consider this: • 27 up, 27 down, perfect through 9 • Game is tied 0-0 and goes to the 10th • (Ghost runner materializes) • Ground out (runner to 3rd) • Fly ball (runner scores) 9.2 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 0 BB, 0 ROE 29 up, 29 down, but lose 1-0
Tom S@TomSwartz296286

@notgaetti The run ends the perfect game. The ghost runner is awful. Get rid of it.
