@gatorgar I'm amazed how many people, both left and right, don't recognize that Trump is left of center and basically a 1980s Democrat.

I’m consistently amazed how people on the left refuse to see that Trump is the most moderate option on the right, and that basically every alternative is more bullish on destroying their way of life. If he’s “Hitler” wait till you find out about the part of the right that even the right hates.

What the hell is up with all of these TATTOOS everywhere? “Back in the Day” only Sailors got them when they were DRUNK in the Philippines. Then it became a “Thing” with STRIPPERS in the 90s. Now I see Dentists, Teachers, Nurses, Interns all TATTED UP. My Theory: It’s an Easy, quick way to feel Distinctive and Special, WITHOUT actually doing the WORK to be Distinctive and Special. Too much “Ink” and Selfies, Not enough GRIT. #tatsaresilly

Using the projected playoff cutoff of 98 points+1 = 99 points as a playoff target. The Detroit Red Wings would need 15 points from their last 11 games, so no worse than any of the following: 4-0-7 5-1-5 6-2-3 7-3-1 Probably can only afford 3 more regulation losses. #LGRW

A guy went viral yesterday for giving testimony about marrying a promiscuous woman. It was sweet. Kind of. The idea was spot on: God can change minds and hearts. Through Him, we can find salvation. That’s beautiful and true. But the post missed the mark in a BIG way that no one is talking about. Here’s the problem: a marriage is a sacred union between two people and God. Not a union between two people, God, and millions of people. In a marriage done right, you know things about your spouse that no one else does. You are your spouse’s vault—a secret keeper, a protector. You don’t out your spouse’s secrets. You don’t shame them publicly. You don’t put them in a position to be judged by strangers. Not even with the best of intentions. You protect their heart, their mind, and their reputation. And you do it with the same care that you protect your own—because the two of you are one. ❤️

Robert Parish says the GOAT debate is "blasphemy" and "bullsh*t" 😳 "Nobody. Nobody. You can’t say that any player is better than. I don't know how many players that have come through the NBA... I think that is an injustice and it's criminal, an assessment of everybody else. You think about that table where the best of the best sits. You cannot single out one player that's better than everybody else sitting at that table. They all are the best of the best. I don't subscribe to that philosophy about the GOAT. That's bullsh*t, in my opinion. Nobody is better than everybody else that ever played in the NBA. Now, you might be the best player in your era. I agree with that. But the best player to ever walk on the NBA basketball court? That's blasphemy." (Via @hoopshype )

@cullenroche In fact, I'd argue that by using hyperbole and scaring people, the person is making things worse. People become demoralized and think, why even try to change things when the government is already insolvent.

Two things are true: 1) The US government does not spend efficiently and could be a lot smaller. 2) You don't need to scare people with hyperbole about fictional accounting to convince people of this.

Pardon me for being, ahem, pragmatic, but this IS hyperbole. The thing that's weird about articles like this is they assess a "balance sheet" that doesn't include the US government's biggest assets - its natural resources, land and present value of future tax receipts. The land and resources alone are worth $100+ trillion. But the taxing authority is the real whopper. The US government has a present and future claim on the output of the wealthiest country that ever existed. A conservative discount rate of 4.5% over 50 years equates this to a $200T+ asset. They love to talk about "unfunded liabilities", but what about the present value of uncollected tax receipts? It's a crazy huge figure.... So no. The wealthiest country in human history doesn't have a bankrupt govt. It has a very poorly run govt that could benefit from being a lot better run, but it's not bankrupt. Carry on.
Yahoo News@YahooNews

The U.S. government is insolvent. That’s not hyperbole — it’s the conclusion drawn directly from the Treasury Department’s own consolidated financial statements for fiscal year 2025, Fortune reports. finance.yahoo.com/economy/policy…

@SuzieD755164 @suespeaksup Why lie? The package says Happy Easter. The eggs are called Easter eggs. It's truly demonic how the biggest liars on Twitter are self-proclaimed Christians. God said a lying tongue is one of the six things He hates. You can't be a Christian and a liar.

They're also calling them gesture eggs. The eggs are a Christian symbol of Easter. So as someone pointed out? Why are they profiting from appropriating a Christian holiday without acknowledging it is Christian. I've stopped buying it anyway because it is now pure muck and a rip off. But the gesture egg is too far. How about this gesture @CadburyUK @DairyMilkIn @CadburyWorld @CadburyIreland

@cmclymer If a woman wants to devote all her time to chess there's literally nothing stopping her. Sounds like you think women are incapable of making their own decisions.

"How do you explain the lack of women among top chess players? Men just have natural ability in this area. That's not sexist to point out." No. That's not the case at all. And you're not gonna like the actual reason for the lack of women among top chess players. Every professional chess player has spent years constantly studying, playing, and traveling. By the time a player reaches the top tier of the chess world, it's pretty much what they've been doing most of their waking hours for many years. There's not a lot of time for much else. And who does the bulk of all caregiving in society? Women. Mothers. Sisters. Daughters. Being a professional chess player isn't incompatible with caregiving, per se, but it's definitely not easy finding a balance that works. Most men don't worry about this. Most women absolutely worry about this. There are male pro chess players who are adept caregivers and find a balance that works, but it's just not a problem men in chess have to deal with on the sheer scale of how women must negotiate that challenge. Women are few among top chess players because they don't benefit from social structures that allow the time and commitment over a long period to reach that level. It really is that simple. It's not about intelligence or aptitude. It's about gender norms in family and society not fitting well with the astonishing commitment required for top level competitive chess. Now you know.

If you talk to any boy between the ages of 18-22, he’ll likely tell you that he’s frustrated with dating because it seems like every girl is on OnlyFans or sleeping around. Then he opens a social media app and the first thing he sees is some guy happy because he waited while his wife slept around but it’s okay because she found Jesus. So the average young boy is reading it frustrated because it sounds like this guy is a cuck and if he follows this path, he too will end up with a reformed hoe. Marriage needs a better marketing campaign. Many people have never seen a powerful marriage in real life. Everyone dreams of love and romance and feels like it’s no longer achievable in this age. Additionally, good girls also feel Prodigal son’d when they see posts like these because when a girl does bad things and “sees the light” she still keeps all the OF money and gets speaking engagements, fame, and a guy simping over her anyway. Not saying people can’t change, but these posts don’t inspire the ones who need inspiration. They just end up pissing off the guys and girls trying to date.
Trevor Sheatz@TrevorSheatz

My wife was formerly promiscuous. I was a virgin. She was then radically born-again. Committed to church, evangelized constantly, Puritan books in her bedroom, prayer journals, grief over past sexual sin, etc. We got to know each other well for over a year, dated for four months, engaged for two and a half, and didn't sin sexually with one another. Our first kiss with each other was at the altar on our wedding day (reaction pic attached!). We've been married for over five years now, and she's been the most wonderful and godly wife, mother to our three children, and homemaker you could imagine. She's more pure than most virgins, as biblical purity has less to with past sins (though they certainly matter) and more to do with one's current posture of the heart and daily decisions to honor the Lord (Matt. 5:8). We're far too quick to forget the story of the woman labeled as a known "sinner" (likely a prostitute) in Luke 7:36-50 who was washing Jesus' feet with her tears while kissing them too. The Pharisees were shocked that Jesus let a public sinner do this. Jesus responded with a parable about debts being forgiven and ended with this powerful conclusion: "Her many sins have been forgiven; that’s why she loved much. But the one who is forgiven little, loves little" (Luke 7:47). Everyone seems to highlight the benefits of virginity, and it certainly is a blessing. But we forget to highlight the benefits of being forgiven much as well. My wife knows the depths of Jesus' forgiveness more than most people, enabling her to more easily live out a life of passionate love for her Savior. A woman or man's past sexual sin matters. But what matters far more when it comes to deciding who to marry is if the person is truly born again, if their repentance is real, if they truly have a heart for Christ, if they truly follow Jesus and obey his commands. "God has chosen what is foolish in the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen what is weak in the world to shame the strong. God has chosen what is insignificant and despised in the world — what is viewed as nothing — to bring to nothing what is viewed as something, so that no one may boast in his presence. It is from him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became wisdom from God for us — our righteousness, sanctification, and redemption, — in order that, as it is written: 'Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.'" (1 Cor. 1:27-31) "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come!" (2 Cor. 5:17)
