@TheBolivianYank He’s gonna be a baller for sure. I actually dont mind if they make the choice to go. Still hurts but USSF did all they could do with he and Esmir. Family roots run deep, simple as that.

@SkyPointSteve @TheBolivianYank The intensity and pressure still isn’t the same in the US. Doesn’t mean MLS can’t be a good stepping stone and I’m excited for the next generation of players that are breaking through. Agree on the European players though, they are absolutely playing like ass. That’s undeniable.

@tylerECU @TheBolivianYank He may have been right, but today, he is not. There’s virtually zero difference as it pertains to NT performances if a player is in MLS, Championship, Belgian JL, Eredivisie. Unless a NT player is in a top 5 league or CL-level club. Our problem, currently? Top Euros failing.

It’s funny to see our media eat out of Poch’s hand, but when Jurgen Klinsmann was here 12+ years ago and chose to tell the TRUTH about our football, they turned on him and chose to instead try and bury him and his career.
Madison Crews@MadisonCrews7

Intensity is not something this team can turn on and off. Mauricio Pochettino, Tim Ream, and Chris Richards are all aligned. It has to be there from start to finish. My latest on @SoccerDownHere on why that standard is so important for this #USMNT ⬇️

@tylerECU @TheBolivianYank He didn't make enemies because of that. It was because he was a tactically inept and continued to play favorites and bring in guys past it, playing out of position. He also leaned heavily on quite a few MLS players. The revisionist history around JK's tenure is shocking

@SkyPointSteve @TheBolivianYank Who said anything about blaming MLS? Jurgen was critical of players who had the talent to play in the top euro leagues not stepping out of their comfort zones and doing so. And he made some enemies because of that. Poch clearly seems to be more inclined to not rock the boat.

@tylerECU @TheBolivianYank MLS is the blame for European players consistently under performing while the previous generation constantly played above their club-level skill?

@KnowerOfBans @THE_SKI_1 That’s how he got got on his last one. Urinalysis showed 4 prescription drugs and THC in his system. So understandable that he refused this time around. But in reality he just needs a chauffeur. Not sure why he hasn’t done it before.

@THE_SKI_1 Apparently he passed the breathalyzer and refused the piss test. Not saying he’s innocent but piss tests being used for DUIs is unconstitutional because they don’t prove you were under their immediate influence during the incident

@joshua_reports @scuffedpod The fact that he was deciding between ‘01 Canada and the USMNT just shows what the decision making process always has been. You typically pick the best team that you can realistically play for. Pretty simple.

How in the world does Landon think this commentary is necessary? Of all the things to talk about, he’s choosing to pick on this kid while the USSF is actively trying to get him into a #USMNT camp with us again. Having the option to play for Canada in 2001 doesn’t compare sorry.

@BlakeEM_ @ByDougMcIntyre IIRC Brooks’ fourth cap was the first game of the World Cup. And Green’s first cap was the Belgium game. So we have brought young players with limited Bundesliga experience (and even more limited USMNT reps) to the World Cup before

@Jadentheman1 @ProspectsUsmnt 100%. It’s his choice. He undoubtedly feels a major connection there. And if given the choice he would absolutely play for DFB. We are the number two here that’s just what it is. If it works out great, if not then he’s still that guy and hopefully he kills it with them

So now we can officially say Banks isn’t on the roster. All reporting (German and US) says he declined an invite. Being in this camp wouldn’t permanently tie him to USA. There was no reason to decline unless he’s just waiting for Germany to finalize his expected decision soon. “Waiting things out because he’s conflicted” isn’t going to ingratiate him with the US audience. He could’ve still dropped a “oh but wait I got some news” next window, saved himself backlash, and showed up at this camp. He’s going to make a permanent decision either in June or September, and we know by now he wants the Germany option to materialize as he’s willing to take the risk on burning the US bridge with (probably won’t fully burn it, but it’ll create a mess for him). US is only a “full-on backup plan” if Germany falls apart. Not going to make the switch yet because he probably doesn’t feel it’s finalized what he’s getting from Germany, but it’ll be an upset if he ever ends up in another US camp.

@KnowerOfBans @coryjoejoe It’s not even really about Adams versus Johnny tbf. He’s trying to make it over guys like Roldan, Luna, Morris, Tessmann, etc. Tyler is starting as long as he is healthy.

@coryjoejoe Adams scored a 35 yard screamer to win a nations league. Even as limited as he is as a player, Adams has done more to win matches than Johnny ever has. Results not profiles.

Johnny’s game yesterday epitomized everything about him as a player. At his best, was very comfortable on the ball, took up good defensive positions, great goal At his worst, sleeping on a goal, really shady back pass The question is can the US afford the latter in a WC?
