In an interview just three weeks ago, I asked @CompetitiveAg what it would take to push cotton prices up to profitable levels again.
He told me, "Well, I make a pretty tongue in cheek joke, but it's not a joke. If Trump banned anything, Lululemon would be where I would start."

You really have to see the conditions to understand how poor the winter wheat crop is this year in parts of Texas. And I'm hearing Texas isn't alone; a lot of wheat in Oklahoma looks like this, too.

The latest crop ratings from @usda_nass shows just how tough things are in Texas with 54% of winter wheat rated poor to very poor. Another 31% is considered fair.
I saw it firsthand last week in the Southern Plains. Wheat barely a foot tall… already pushing a flag leaf—rushing to reproduce under stress with little chance to make grain.
One Texas Panhandle farmer told me less than 10% of acres in his area may even be harvested, and this included the irrigated wheat fields.
For many, the realization set in just two weeks ago: this crop isn’t going to make it.
