@davidwidmar @drbrock37 From the looks of it, they’re paying current “replacement cost” unless they pre-bought obviously. The question currently is how many did not hedge and what that impact will be on 26 acres. Hard to tell.

@drbrock37 @openingprint I’m never sure what price farmers end up paying - the price when loaded onto the ship or prevailing prices when farmers ask for a price quote.
Agree on next year- especially if natural gas prices (and shipping cost) are high

@drbrock37 @davidwidmar Articles I’ve read suggest 30-45 days. Also stated was that supplies headed to US for spring planting would have had to leave in the January/February timeframe. IMO it’s a bigger deal for next Brazil crop cycle if it lasts.

ie. - what % of the urea we would import during this timeframe already in the middle of the Atlantic?

@ottoscholl Interesting thought. Throughout the history of mankind, while wars are often wrapped in the flags of ideology, religion, or "glory," the underlying engine is almost always a struggle over who gets to control the "stuff" needed to survive and thrive. Land, food, resources.
