@VivaLaSeth Media and asset management should be taken to 2026 but seems everyone's fine with that or simply go headless.

@remkusdevries Keeping track of a long conversation, selecting wisely and summarizing while retaining the juice: that's where ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude fail similarly in my modest experience.

My biggest frustration working with AI is its loss of memory in the same thread/chat. Doesn't matter if we're talking Grok, Claude or ChatGPT. Anyone have a fix for this yet other than "read thru this chat before replying"?

@pootlepress AI could be the "interface layer" that pushes WP forwards, making block based theming really good. Humans should be able to iiterate, tweak, and maintain easily.

@DenisJeliazkov I never understood why no one came out with a web focused version of Figma or something like a "modern visual editor" for webdesigners. Something that works natively with underlying html and CSS primitives, masking them or not... It shouldn't be impossible

Figma has entered its Adobe era. Features nobody asked for. Performance getting worse. Plugin store is a mess. Sketch here I come...

@kifadasse Fa curriculum.

@michalmalewicz Google apps icons are a mess. At a glance, I always have a hard time picking the right one. Will gradients and glows solve the issue? I don't think so. Who thought they needed an Instagramification?

@qarayahya I don't love Elementor... but it works and you can figure out how to cope with it and have decent performance. Please show me the way to separate theming from content editing with Gutenberg (maybe I'm retarded but I would love to give clients the Classic editor)

@qarayahya ACF pro and Classic editor are what works best for clients. They will never compose a page with blocks... If you give them too much power they will mess up. Once you grasp it, theme builder is a FSE and you can even start building upon your own blank theme.

I don’t know why *some* guys hate FSE so much! I started using WordPress right when FSE came out, so maybe I just didn’t grow up with the old stuff. but do you want to compare it with Elementor? Because I recently had to work with Elementor again and it felt so annoying compared to Gutenberg. The UX feels worse than Gutenberg to me. Dragging stuff around is clunky, grouping things takes more effort, selecting multiple elements is annoying, copying/pasting or replacing things isn’t as smooth.... In Gutenberg I can just select blocks, group them, move them, copy them, whatever... It feels way more natural, and I can copy an image from anywhere and paste it directly into the editor, and when I paste text it only pastes the text itself, not a bunch of random styles and div/span/a stuff... I could make a whole list but that’s not really the point... So why the hate? do you guys actually prefer the old widget system and the old menu UI?? I don’t get it🤦‍♂️

The FSE experience is absolute ass but, I can't tell him that because he blocked me 🤣

@pootlepress WordPress works well for many industries because it's "easy", extendable and manageable. Keep the M in CMS. Tech people can discuss the database structure and details but I'd say the "easily manageable part of the content" is the core WordPress advantage.

@romanbuildsaas Do what makes you happy. But in some way it may seem you are almost forgetting what is to live. Enjoying time with beloved ones, for example, having fun with friends. Discovering yourself and the world... "First solve the issue, then live* is never a good plan. Take care.

The “problem” with AI agents is that I don’t enjoy doing anything anymore except working. It feels like I’m inside a massive video game, and my character is leveling up at an exponential rate. In 6 months, we’ve compressed what should have taken 4 years. I wake up at 9am and I’m at my computer until 11pm. I force myself to go to the gym. I force myself to be social. But the only thing that truly excites me is progressing in the game. Maybe it’s just a phase. Isn’t the goal to build, exit, and then finally enjoy life? But what if this is enjoying life? What if building at full speed… is the reward?
