Why not automate this? All you need is a sensor that wakes you. Could be either radar or visual (visual probably being cheaper and more failure prone). Probably the niche for this is too small 😅 but… I wonder how far an iPhone’s LIDAR sensor goes. @grok propose the most reliable and cheapest solution for this challenge, possibly using hardware most people have. Analyze risk and reliability. Also assess use of iPhone lidar sensor. First brainstorm wildly from first principles, then identify the top solutions and then do risk assessment of those. Reliability is most important here because of physical risk of collision.
