This is a model that's the most impactful to the masses. As people exchange the token, the token's story and meaning also spread just by association to the source. It's the biggest shared experience impact possible by making art memeable and shareable by taking a life of its own.
Grizz@grizzle_art

My thoughts on “The Trencher,” art, and memecoins We all remember Chill Guy. The token ripped to 500M in days. But then Philip Banks, the creator of the Chill Guy character, announced that he had copyrighted the artwork and would be issuing takedown notices for profit related content. Without support from the artist, the token crashed. And that wasn’t the first or the last time we’ve seen clashes between artists and memecoin communities. There has been long debate in the crypto world over art and memes and who they belong to. Let’s continue to use Chill Guy as an example (sorry Philip, no hard feelings really). Philip created that character in 2023, but the character didn’t become famous until it randomly went viral on TikTok in November 2024. It wasn’t the CHARACTER people were connecting with, it was the MEME. My feelings are that when a piece of art is memed, it begins to evolve and take on new life in the hands of each person who memes it. So then, as it evolves, who does it belong to? This will be debated for years probably, and by people much smarter than me. But my own personal thoughts are that memes belong to everyone. Memes have no central authority and this is why they are so important to crypto. It’s obvious that the most successful tokens either have no central figure or the central figure is completely anonymous. When a token has a central figure, everything that person or group does affects the price for better or worse. (I’m looking at you, cringe Solana ad 👀). This is largely why Bitcoin is so successful. Can you imagine if Satoshi Nakamoto was posting cringe takes on twitter? This is also why many successful memecoins have no CTO and no official twitter account. They exist purely in meme form. As an artist, I want to spend my time creating. I don’t want to be a dev, a project lead, a strategic planner, or the marketer/social media manager of a memecoin account. All of those things would take away from my time creating, which is what I need to be doing here. This is why artists should begin to see it as a GIFT when people tokenize their work. Art in meme form is more successful in the hands of a community. Now, let’s talk about “The Trencher”. I posted that art for fun and then went to sleep. While I slept, @a1lon9 commented on it (thank you, Alon!!) and brought attention to the artwork. It was, of course, immediately tokenized on Pump Fun by an unknown dev. I woke up to hundreds of notifications. As I was trying to sort out what was happening, the token ran up to 1.5M market cap and was #1 trending on dex. I was a little sad that I missed early entry to my own meme lol, but mostly, I was overwhelmingly excited that people cared enough about my art to meme it. Because I am in the trenches, I know how memes work. I know that when something goes viral, there is no “waiting period” to figure out who gets to be the dev. Viral memes are tokenized. Swiftly. The trenches move fast and the fastest win. I am choosing to cheer on the success of the $trencher token and lean into the gratitude I feel for the exposure and attention this has brought me. Like I said in my original statement, I am an artist, not a dev. I hope you can appreciate my art for what it is, rather than for what it does to the number on a chart. I’ve been here everyday, for years, making silly art and memes. And I will continue to do my thing. I like to think that “The Trencher” went viral because people see themselves in it. Put yourself, your character, at the center. What would YOUR accessories be? What makes YOU a trencher? I’ve always loved to create simple cartoons that people can see themselves in and that are accessible and easy to recreate. I believe our industry will continue to evolve in best practices of how to include artists when their art/memes are tokenized. Should they be gifted supply? Should they buy their own? What is the best way to include artists in their newfound virality? We’re all still figuring this out. One last thought. Before @pumpdotfun, almost all memecoin launches were manufactured unfunny “meme” pre-sales with loads of insider trading. With the rise of Pump Fun, real viral memes are launched immediately, by anyone, the second they go viral. Pump Fun rewards creativity, humor, and speed. This allows small creators to win. This allows people who are here grinding everyday to win. This allows people who have a good eye for memes to win. Be active, be funny, make memes, be a good person. That’s all.

Lots of people ask me.... "what about ____ coin?" Here's what I think will be the winning recipe: - original art consistently being churned out - little to no ai, or ai only as filler content (crypto people underestimate how much normies hate ai. also ai legally can not be IP copyrighted) - creator led (people like to connect to a real person) - combo of static illustrations and animations - creators that have secured major partnerships (shows professionalism and ability to work well with teams and brands) - cool physical products - consistently showing up every single day - ability to improvise, pivot, and navigate the market - has a unique narrative and isnt copying someone else's playbook

Lots of new Trencher holders have been asking me what I'm working on. Here's a little recap if you're new here! After my Trencher art was stolen and tokenized, I paused all of my freelance work and I now work 10-14 hours a day on Trencher. I have registered my character as copyrighted IP, created over 600 pieces of art, launched an animated series, host weekly livestreams, and have collabed with a bunch of other creators. I have also been featured by Pumpfun, Ourbit, Opensea, Moonshot, Bitget, Jesse Pollak, and many others. As for what's next, I've already teased a bunch of things and I'm working on even more in silence behind the scenes. I recommend checking out the website and the two interviews where I talk about my plans for expanding the art and the brand. I sometimes tease more specific stuff during my weekly livestreams, I definitely drop more teasers in those than anywhere else as a way to acknowledge the most active community members who show up every week to the streams. Otherwise everything I'm working on behind the scenes stays secret until its ready to be released. Some things are partnership based so I'm not allowed to tease them. Often dates get pushed and that is out of my control. And some things are product based and take time to bring to life. My vision for Trencher is to grow within crypto and beyond crypto. Within crypto, I want him to become one of the most recognized character IP of all time. Outside of crypto, I want to grow him in a way that is normie friendly. Normies joke about "being in the trenches" all the time. The trenches just means something different to them lol. So I'm working on branding, storytelling, and narrative building, as well as evolving Trencher into 3D, to get him ready for his eventual instagram/tiktok debut. I work mostly alone to maintain the integrity of my work as an artist, like Leon of Nubcat and Groowut of Fwog. Working alone means that in addition to the artwork, I'm also doing socials, marketing, logistics, partnerships, collabs, products, taking videos calls and meetings, and more. I have @wirelyss helping with me advising and marketing. @uhCaribe helping me with art and branding. And @tkng_nft and @orly____ helping me with 3D content while I finish learning blender and creating my own 3D model. Thank you to the loyal and supportive community who have been here since Day 1 cheering me on and believing in me. I'm forever grateful that this very weird experience has allowed my art to be seen by so many people, and has allowed me to grow as an artist in ways I never imagined. I love you guys! 🫶

Why Trencher? I created the Trencher character as a representation of the grind we all have within us to lift ourselves up and make better life for ourselves. In April, the drawing went viral and my story turned into a bigger conversation about how artists can coexist with memecoin communities. The token was trading with 10M-30M volume daily during the first 2 weeks. The serial deployer earned over $86k off my daily work, while I was earning nothing. Trencher then ended up in the middle of the conversation around creator fees, and I fought for 3 months for changes to be made. When Pumpfun finally changed the system, Trencher was the very first one to have the fees redirected. And at this same time I secured a patronage partnership with Pumpfun. (The creator fee structure still need to be fixed even further imo) Since then I have registered my character as copyrighted IP, created over 600 pieces of art, launched an animated series, host weekly livestreams, and continue to expand the Trencher brand. I have also been featured by Pumpfun, Ourbit, Opensea, Moonshot, Bitget, and many others. Trencher is an artcoin, memecoin, creator coin, streamer coin, brand coin. It’s an everything coin, and it represents the entire spirit of the trenches. Trencher is also about a small artist who took the major setback of having my artwork stolen, and used it as an opportunity to grow. My own personal story is an actual representation of the core Trencher narrative, the grind to build a better life for ourselves. Trencher exists for everyone here who has relentless self belief.

The Wise Ones Podcast Eps. 3 - @grizzle_art, Creator of #TRENCHER We present to you the third episode of The Wise Ones Podcast. Hosted by the @Wisemenmentors For this episode, we're sitting down with Grizz, the artist behind #TRENCHER who woke up with one SOL in her wallet and her art stolen then made a decision that changed creator economics forever. Grizz started as a crisis counselor, navigating people through their darkest moments before finding her way back to art through crypto. Today, she's one of only three artists with an official @pumpdotfun partnership, she's produced over 600 pieces of art with zero team, and Trencher has one of the highest liquidity ratios in the Solana ecosystem. But what most people don't know is the full story of how she got here. This isn't your typical crypto art interview. Grizz doesn't do many long-form conversations, and when she does, she doesn't usually tell the complete story. This time she did. In this hour-long sitdown, she reveals the chaos of waking up to thousands of messages, the impossible choice between guaranteed money and momentum, and how she worked with @pumpdotfun and @wirelyss to create the creator fee system every artist uses today. If you hold Trencher, create on @pumpdotfun, or want to understand what separates artists building lasting brands from short-term exits, this conversation is essential. In this conversation, we explore: - The 6 AM moment when Grizz discovered her art was stolen, tokenized, and going viral and why she chose the runner that gave her nothing over the tokens offering 70% supply. - How one conversation with the Pump.fun team alongside Wireless created the creator fee model that now powers every artist on the platform. - Her partnership with @pumpdotfun and @a1lon9 the relationship that helped pioneer a creator-centric approach for the entire platform. - The liquidity strategy that keeps Trencher stable when everything else crashes - and why it has ratios that rival coins over a year old. - What it's really like being the only woman with a token on a major exchange and the challenges nobody talks about. - How she executes weekly streams, animated series, and partnerships with @opensea, @bitget, @moonshot, and @ourbit completely solo. - Why she lifts up the entire Pumpfolio instead of protecting her own bags and why collaboration beats competition. - The vision for taking Trencher beyond crypto and building something that outlasts the cycle. - What she learned about trusting intuition when everyone's giving different advice/ This is the unfiltered story of an artist who chose conviction over capital with one SOL to her name and built the system that changed the game for everyone who came after. No fluff. No PR spin. Just the real decisions, the real strategy, and the real vision. We hope you enjoy. @grizzle_art @Trencher_Sol @pumpdotfun @wirelyss About The Wise Ones: The Wise Ones Podcast sits down with the builders and strategists shaping crypto's future before the mainstream catches on.

I sat down with Doc and Coops for a VERY in depth chat about my entire experience working on Trencher. You will get to hear about some behind the scenes stuff I haven’t shared before. And you’ll get a better understanding of my vision for the Trencher brand. A little teaser of what’s to come!
The Wisemen Alpha@Wisemenmentors

THE WISE ONES: Developer Spotlight Series Exclusive 1-on-1s with blockchain's biggest builders. No crowds. No fluff. Just raw alpha. EPISODE 3 DROPPING THIS WEEK: @grizzle_art | @Trencher_Sol - The Artist Who Changed Creator Economics She woke up to her art stolen. Multiple tokens launched while she slept. One SOL in her wallet. Rent due next month. The decision she made changed everything. Why This Matters: @grizzle_art didn't just build $TRENCHER | @Trencher_Sol She built the SYSTEM that every creator on @pumpdotfun uses today. That system didn't exist until she fought for it. That happened because of what Grizz did with one SOL and an impossible choice. The Setup That Broke The Game: 6 AM: She wakes up to thousands of messages. Her art is viral. Multiple tokens launched. People tokenizing her DOGS. Her entire profile - gone through. Offers flooding in: "Take 50% supply." "Take 70% supply." The biggest runner? 5,000 holders. Zero allocation for her. Most people take the money. The guaranteed bag. The safe play. She endorsed the one that gave her nothing. The Quote That Explains Everything: "I was betting that I would eventually get paid through creator fees. It was a huge gamble. I had one SOL. I couldn't afford to buy supply." "If I had supported something else or launched my own, it would have killed the main runner and all the momentum." That dev made $86,000 from her stolen art. Grizz made nothing. Until she went to war with @pumpdotfun alongside @wirelyss. Now? Every artist earning creator fees today exists because of that fight. What She's Building Now: 600+ pieces of art. Weekly streams. Animated series. Partnerships with OpenSea, Bitget, Moonshot, Hourbit, and Pump.fun itself. One of only THREE artists with official Pump.fun partnerships. 40% of creator fees reinvested back into Trencher. But where this goes next? That's the part most people don't see coming. What You'll Discover: 🎯 The 3 AM chaos: The full story of waking up to her art stolen and why she chose momentum over guaranteed money (never told in full before) 🎯 The creator fee battle:How she and Wireless convinced Pump.fun to pioneer the system that changed everything - and why the people who criticized her are now using it 🎯 The liquidity weapon: Why Trencher has one of the highest ratios in Solana (only beaten by 1+ year old coins) and stays stable when everything crashes 🎯 Solo execution blueprint:How she's producing all this content and securing major partnerships with ZERO team 🎯 The vision beyond crypto: Where Trencher goes when you're not building for one cycle - you're building something that lasts The Philosophy That Built This: "Sometimes when people have this very structured plan, you're boxing yourself in too small. Sometimes the universe has something bigger planned." "I don't feel worried. I don't feel scared, frustrated, tired. I just feel excited every day." That's not cope. That's someone who made the hard choice, changed the system, and knows what they're building is real. Why This Interview Hits Different: Grizz doesn't do many long-form interviews. When she does, she doesn't tell the full story. This time she did. The decision at 6 AM with one SOL. The fight that created creator fees. Why she chose conviction over capital. How she executes solo. Where Trencher goes next. One SOL. One impossible decision. One gamble that the system could be different. Now every creator benefits. That's not just building a project. That's changing the game. --- The biggest devs. The best stories. Zero BS. Limited series. Hand-picked builders only. Drop a 🔥 if you're ready for the artist who broke the system, rebuilt it, and proved conviction beats capital every time. Episode 3 drops this week. 👁️ THE WISE ONES 👁️

Look for the tapped in creators who stick around through the ups and downs. The majority of creators and CTOs give up after the first few setbacks. Not many people have the mental endurance or resiliency to navigate the volatility of the crypto space. As a trader, you should be looking for creators who have a good reputation, work ethic, consistency, and experience. Are they tapped in? Do they understand Solana culture? …. It’s one thing to have cool content, but do they understand supply control, how to prevent snipers, how to get listings, how to land major partnerships, how to connect with other creators in the ecosystem, how to navigate conflict, how to protect the brand. Trencher is here to stay. I’ve shown this by creating ~600 pieces of art in 6 months, securing IP protections, and landing partnerships/features with PumpFun, Moonshot, Opensea, Bitget, and more (coming soon 😘). From stolen art to one of the most recognized characters in crypto, I think the story of me and Trencher is a compelling part of the creator economy narrative. I hope you’ll follow along and watch me grow. <3
