Comparing Andhra, a newly formed state, to a state that inherited Madras City, a colonial presidency capital built over 300+ years with the sweat, taxes, talent and resources of people from all across Andhra, North Kerala, Tulunadu, and parts of Karnataka is neither fair nor honest.
Madras was not built overnight, nor by one region alone. It accumulated institutions, industries, ports, universities, administrative power, financial networks and human capital over centuries under a unified presidency.
Despite losing its historic capital, institutions and economic base overnight, Andhra still rebuilt itself from scratch.
That itself is a testament to the resilience of Andhras.
Andhra’s competition is not with anyone else, it is with its own potential. And history has shown time and again that Andhras rise, rebuild and reinvent.
It will rise again.
And all some people can do is watch with envy.

I am not sure what kind of ‘society‘ she is talking about, but a lot of Brahmin-Baniya ppl try to take over residential societies.
Ex- in my friends apartment, some Brahmin families wanted to build a small temple inside the premises… not cos there were no temples nearby, but cos they wanted it inside the society itself.
They knew Christians n Muslims lived there too.. But because they were influential in the management committee n bcos they had the confidence to push these things.. the Muslims and Christians stayed quiet because they did not want trouble. It was actually some Hindus who strongly opposed it.
Bloody.. keep your God inside your home or go to a temple. What is this obsession with converting every shared public space into a religious space?

Across India, there are countless structures like the Bhojshala, which some believe to be a mosque while others call a temple. Visited one such in Malda, called Adina Mosque. Locals call it an Adinath Temple. These contrasting claims have existed for centuries, leading to several agitations. After several such squabbles, all photography inside is prohibited by the ASI. I get the optimism. But, reality is hard to digest. Undivded AP used to be a strong Fort of INC. After BRS conned INC by not merging post Telangana formation, strong anti INC sentiment in AP, YSRCP is erstwhile INC in AP. Forget INC, even YSRCP wont come to power in next 10yrs!

While @RahulGandhi makes an emotional appeal to the central government asking them to stop the destruction of environment in Andaman & Nicobar, the Congress government in Telangana is doing just the same! Kasu Brahmananda Reddy park / KBR park is an urban forest spread across 390 kilometres in the heart of the city. KBR has been home for over 600 species of plant life, 140 species of birds and 30 different varieties of butterflies and reptiles. You see peacocks all over the park, many snakes too are spotted regularly. Animals like pangolin, small Indian civet, peacock, jungle cat and porcupines live there. People are allowed only for limited hours in the morning and in the evening & that too only in a small section of the park to protect the environment. At any point of time, when you pass by KBR, you can clearly feel 2-5 degrees temperature drop. In the heart of the city’s Jubilee Hills, it is a beautiful green lung space. KBR Park was declared an Eco sensitive zone on 27 October 2020. Traffic around KBR has been an issue. There was a proposal to build flyovers at KBR to ease the traffic by the urban planning authorities. People protested and the then CM KCR instructed everyone to stand down on the project since it destroys an ecosystem. Today! Revanth Reddy as part of the Strategic Road Development Programme and H-CITI plan is going ahead and constructing 6 flyovers and 6 underpasses. All because he wants to make area around KBR park - “signal free”! Budget is Rs 1,090 crores. No of trees that will be destroyed? 1942 mature trees will be uprooted!!! There is no environmental clearance to the project. Congress Government came up with an intelligent way to bypass this. They split the project into 6 separate projects and now they don’t need any clearances. What’s worse- the Telangana High Court had given a stay order & to bypass that, the shameless government is carrying out demolitions in the dead of the night. They want to finish the destruction before the courts open again! Bulldozers come in the night and work nonstop to create a chance to fatten the purses of contractors. These flyovers and underpasses will destroy the ecosystem completely. But yeah, who cares? Since it is Congress that is destroying the lung space and since it is not Andaman & Nicobar island, since it is Telangana and most importantly people in Hyderabad don’t need OXYGEN, this destruction is absolutely 💯 percent okay 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Video from last night

So, let me get this straight.
For years, India backs an autocratic ruler in Bangladesh who is overthrown by her people after a mass uprising/revolution, surprising everyone (including her Indian patrons).
Rather than admit their mistakes, activists of India's ruling party then construct a false narrative to divert attention from their support of the fallen regime, which includes the ridiculous allegation that Hasina's fall was a foreign plot intended to bring radical islamists to power and terrorize the hindu minority.
These same Indian actors then weaponize this narrative in India in support of the BJP's electoral campaigns in Assam and West Bengal, inventing the spectre of an islamic bogeyman and demonizing the Muslim minority. This propaganda effort proceeds for over a year, amplified by the Indian establishment and media.
Now, after elections in both Bangladesh and neighboring Indian states, New Delhi seeks to reasserts its control over Dhaka while consolidating its political gains within India.
You have to hand it to the @BJP4India, they have become masters at propaganda and political manipulation.

27 Lakh Voters were deleted in West Bengal.
These were not 'dead people' or 'bangladeshis'. These were real people who had already appealed to get their votes restored. The Supreme court could’ve delayed the West Bengal elections until the tribunals finished hearing the appeals of these voters. But they didn’t. Only around 1607 voters were restored in time by phase 2 of these elections. Almost every appeal that was heard turned out to be a wrongful deletion.
In any functional democracy, this would not count as a free and fair election where a large section of voters have lost their voting rights. I'm not saying that TMC would've won for sure if they were added back, maybe BJP would still win, but the question is about the fairness of these elections.
Free and fair elections are a spectrum. Ever since Delhi-Maharashtra-Bihar-Bengal, this needle has moved more and more towards being unfair. Each time somehow the opposition parties participate as usual in the electoral process thinking that they can still pull of a win despite the compromised EC, ED, CBI etc. and each time they have been proven wrong after 2024 Lok Sabha. The question is, at what point will they feel that the level of unfairness is so unfair that elections should be boycotted?
I personally feel TMC should have refused to participate in these elections until all those 27 lakh appeals were finished being heard.
