@escalonamar It was cool before, but modern technology and tastes have moved on. The old building could've been repurposed but even the Ayalas tore it down.

@GcNever @dumidyeypee I would have to be it's more of extremely high demand for USD at this point. High fuel prices alone means that oil importers would have to shell out more USD.

FIRST MAJOR GAS DISCOVERY IN OVER A DECADE For the first time in over a decade, a new gas supply has been discovered five kilometers east of the existing Malampaya field offshore Palawan, President Marcos said on Monday. Marcos said the newly discovered reservoir, called Malampaya East-1, is estimated to contain about 98 billion cubic feet of gas in place. This is equivalent to approximately 14 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, enough to power 5.7 million households, 9,500 establishments, or 200,000 schools annually, he added. The Malampaya consortium, led by tycoon Enrique Razon Jr.’s Prime Energy, has invested around $893 million for the Malampaya Phase 4 drilling campaign, which involves the drilling of two new deepwater wells and an exploration field.
