I felt sad for him then but when I came to the stage, I saw Abhijeet Dipke eating all kinds of food, CJP leaders dancing on stage while Sonam sir was struggling even to sleep. I saw Prakash Raj telling students who had come for the NEET protest not to say "Jai Shri Ram." I saw Arundhati Roy, who has said Kashmir is not part of India, present there. This , coming from one of the greatest football player from himself from England , is a testimony to Messi’s greatness . I was lucky to see the semi finals live yesterday by staying awake till 230 am . Argentina had almost lost to Egypt and were 0-2 down before scoring three goals in the last 13 minutes of play to win 3-2 . Yesterday they were down 0-1 before they score 2 goals in the last 7 minutes to win 2-1 with the two assists from Messi. England made the mistake of not continuing to mark him, man to man , in the end and paid a huge price ! Finals is Spain vs Argentina on Sunday . Don’t miss it dear friends . At about 3 pm Tuesday, my dad passed away. Quietly, in his own bed, with my mum holding one hand and me the other. There was no sound. No sharp intake of breath. No struggle. He simply slipped away. He had just turned 88. You have to be especially blessed to ease into your next journey with what seemed like no pain or suffering whatsoever. Papa leaves behind my mum, four children and eight grandchildren. He was always ready with a quick joke, a sharp wit and a razor-sharp mathematical mind. It's truly sad that many of the biggest names from the Tamil film fraternity were not present to pay their last respects to the legendary S. Janaki Amma. Mysuru is only a few hours away from Chennai. It was also disappointing that there was no visible representation from the Tamilnadu government at the funeral, at least as a mark of respect for one of the greatest voices Tamil cinema has ever known. Hats off to the #Karnataka government for according her a great farewell with full respect and honour. A legend of her stature deserved nothing less.
