@sumanthraman Disagree. We’ve seen keepers waiting for batsmen to drag their foot off the crease for a stumping off a spin bowler. This has also been officially labelled stumped, so why should this be different?

@sumanthraman @vijivenkatesh EBM is not accepting evidence at face value. It is incorporating best available evidence with your clinical experience to give the best possible advice for the patient in front of you. Your evidence based practice is only as good as your interpretation of it

@vijivenkatesh As a Doctor myself, I agree with him. Rubbishing all other forms of Medicine isn't the right way to go. Evidence based medicine is great but evidence is constantly changing. What was proven right in a study 20 years ago is now proven in another study to be wrong.

I’ve now had just over a week of being on the other side of #nhs A close relative is in hospital and as a reasonably senior nhs doctor it’s so frustrating not to be able to do more. Also crystallised the horrible psychological effects of restrictions on visiting 💔mum😢

@sumanthraman I think ultimately Doctors would remain the providers of healthcare. AI can only go as far as providing a diagnosis. In a patient’s hands, AI can simply serve as a better tool than Google search. It is far more valuable to a Doctor, if they care to try it out

Matter of time before Doctors become the implementers or supervisors of decisions that are taken by AI based systems. My colleagues don't agree but it will happen for sure.

I'm an immigrant NHS worker. We're charged £2,400 for permanent visas despite the govt cost of £243. A family of 4 is charged up to £12,000! In the worst NHS staff crisis in history, this is profoundly foolish and incredibly cruel. FIX THIS NOW.
