Got an album release promotional announcement from a band whose email list I signed up for sometime during Dubya's first term and then largely forgot about. If nothing else I'm impressed with their commitment.

@bogusround Yes! I never laid eyes on the projectionist(s?) but every once in a while I'd look back and just stare at the hands wildly manipulating the reels and film strips for a bit. Fascinating.

Let Godspeed You! Black Emperor melt my brain for a couple of hours tonight. Highly recommend standing within earshot of the projectors if you ever get the chance. The clicking during the quiet parts really adds to the set.

@wordnerdy @ouinne Things seem to be worse now than ever. I got stood up by an entire division for a presentation a couple of weeks ago. Finally heard from someone an hour and half after I was scheduled to start. I know it wasn't personal but it still pissed me off pretty good.

Took Pais in for her annual this evening. Vet performed 90% of the exam with her laying like this and I had to drag her off the chair like a giant bag of mulch for the other ten. She is a monument to stoic stubbornness.

Next-door neighbor's Sonata was stolen last night. Feel awful for all of the Kia/Hyundai owners that have to just sit like giant targets with only the vague promise of a fix starting to roll out "sometime next year". What a shitshow.
