6 things i've learned in 8 months of creative strategy: 1. Numbers are everything but so is having that "it" factor that translates into creators coming up with their best work. It's a language and a nuance and that's truly the difference between hiring a creator-first strategist. 2. "Boring" companies can be SO fun to strategize for because honestly the results potential is the biggest. 3. Everything has a strategy, but know when to let loose, try new formats, because those are the real golden tickets that create those "wow" moments with clients. 4. Learn to ask the right questions. What I mean by that: You're on a first time call with a brand, they've filled out the onboarding doc. Now it's your time to ask the questions they would never think to spill onto an onboarding doc. "Do you think customer X comes across your landing pages as someone who's already tried X or has never even considered X and knows there's a problem?" "Is customer X typically knowledgable on this topic? Or do they just know the emotions they're feeling around it?" 5. If you can find reviews, patterns, or sentiment the brand has’t even clocked yet, you’re finally getting somewhere real. 6. Creative strategy keeps you ahead of the curve and behind the scenes in rooms that as a creator, I wouldn't have access to. The learnings, meeting founders, cues into what's happening next, and opportunities beyond creative strategy are often found behind closed doors. #ugc #ugccreator #ugccommunity

Breakdown of the strategy behind a UGC video for the financial advising industry: We’re intentionally signaling to mid–high income earners through visuals, the people who feel pretty confident about their finances, but likely still have a few blind spots. I also love using simple drawings to keep viewers engaged (I still find myself watching ads like that). It helps hold attention and almost acts like another version of captions that's even better! For a product like Pela, visuals and inspiration matter way more than rigid structure or problem–solution formats. A lot of the time when I buy things, jewelry, a cute phone case, a swimsuit with a gorgeous pattern, it’s because I feel inspired and can picture myself in the video. Sometimes you don’t need to overcomplicate it! Absolutely love how this turned out ❤️‍🔥
