New update for the netplay N64 emulator (RMG-K) adds rollback to every title. This means that input delay is greatly reduced and desyncs are far more uncommon. This morning we managed to play from Spain to Australia with 4 frames of delay! Before this we had to do 9!!!

@Pugsyxd You think about the associations you've had with them. The red flags that you might have missed or dismissed as probably harmless. The people that you you may have failed or harmed by having this person around Even though you've done nothing, there's a lot of hard emotions.

@Pugsyxd I don't, but I do know that hearing about widespread injustices and finding out someone you personally know who's done something horrible, it's very different. You don't feel angry in the same way. You just feel gross.

players: Riot should really care about making the game more approachable and comprehensible to people trying to learn the game those same players: Riot is killing their game yet again by removing an esoteric minion targeting rule that 10,000 people worldwide understand

Ok I deleted the cunt tweet bc clearly it was being taken and run with in many directions I did not intend. Not entirely sure how I became the enemy for saying I forget Americans are more sensitive to the word, but I’m happy to delete to end this for us all

@Caol_MacCormaic They set themselves up for failure in about season 2. Those first 4 seasons were good but when it got to season 5 it fell of a cliff and that set season 7 and 8 up to be the biggest insult to a fanbase ever. it’s quite poetic how everything fell apart the second tywin dies lmao

@hutchinson @beacebrocess The issue with focusing on the thousands imo is theres no practical action that can be taken, which could lead to no improvement. Focusing on what the dnc could do better is actionable (if anyone in the dnc wanted to) and so some improvements could happen

@hutchinson @beacebrocess I think its worth considering that thousands of people could have made a better decision (voting) Or one person could have made a better decision (kamala making a public stance) The same better outcome could have happened. Then what practical lessons could be learned from this

In this scenario it would be the party choosing to support genocide who would be at fault. Policies can be abandoned the dead can’t come back to life and mass murder is naturally alienating. U r just a partisan for the Dems
Hutch@hutchinson

As I understand things, the online left believes that the DNC autopsy would reveal that Gaza was the reason Kamala lost. They seem to *want* this to be true. That is odd to me because I’m not sure why any rational person with a moral center would want credit for Trump winning.

@Evilagram It's interesting how important framing is to this. Here's how I immediately interpreted the question and I can't get my head out of this initial framing.

Framed as a coordination issue, I think the problem becomes a lot more clear. It's easier to coordinate half of everyone than literally everyone. Of course, a lot of red pressers say they're happy to see blue pressers die, which I think cuts to the center of this.

You have two buttons. Red and blue. If 50% of people press blue, nobody dies. If anything less than 100% of people press red, some percentage of people will die. Which is easier to coordinate? getting 50+% to press one button, or getting literally everyone to press the other?

@summoningsalt @egoraptor There are 2 buttons, everyone has to press one. The red one does nothing The blue one kills you, however if more than 50% of people choose blue, it doesnt kill you. Which do you choose

@egoraptor The fact that phrasing the question differently changed so many votes is kind of my point. Nobody is forcing people to press blue. Nobody is forcing anybody to tie themselves to the track. They're perpetuating and sustaining their own problem.

A train is coming down a track. Everyone on Earth has the choice to either tie themselves to the track, or not. If more than 50% of people choose to tie themselves to the track, the train turns around and doesn't run them over. Yes or no - do you tie yourself to the track?
