@uiwithjay This is creative stuff, Jay, which I don't see often on X.
Love it!

We got into YC S26.
And for the first time in the history of YC startups, we're attempting this.
A non stop, 24 hour challenge to close as many customers as possible.
We'll be crashing into startup offices, cold caking, cold calling, cold emailing, sending cold DMs, maxing out on X, meeting founders, and testing every insane growth experiment we can think of.
We're not stopping until the timer runs out.
Follow along.
This is either going to be legendary or incredibly embarrassing.
Also, drop your craziest ideas below.

@_andresjasso Hmmmm interesting, what about the first one ? Seems a bit more inclusive to me. What do you think ?

I'm finally close to building a $1M ARR biz with 4 clients.
I spent $20,000 in agency courses last year and this goes against everything I've learned.
Generally, every guru taught me I need to diversify my marketing channels.
I need to get more clients.
Everyone gave me the same math. 20 clients at $5k/mo = $100k mrr biz.
Sounds great on paper but when you're in the weeds, you realize it's not so easy.
Your clients churn, employees leave, and no one accounts for bad months.
So we went the other route instead.
Our goal shifted to delivering so much value to a client it would be stupid for them to fire us.
Literally, a stupid decision to let go of us.
We'd do the best creative work for a small group of people. Offer them the best service they've ever received.
AND CHARGE A HELL LOT FOR IT.
We're already doing this for 3 clients, and we're close to signing the 4th.
Every client gets our best people, our best work, and a team that knows their business inside out.
Retention takes care of itself when firing you feels like a stupid decision.
Fewer clients, deeper work, and much higher prices. That's the whole playbook.

brutal week!!!
huge client, (one of biggest/richest companies in the world)
a deep problem (in the ai space) you can’t design your way out of.
i barely touched a design tool,
only to create systems for scale.
energy mostly spent reading people, holding the line, solving the thing underneath the thing, guiding to the right direction…
tired in the best way!
this is the type of job you earn in a week what most designers earn in a year.
i hope you had an equally fulfilling week…
