I don't known if this is known but when NHL in NA goes to commercial we get "nothing" here in Europe. "Nothing" is whatever happens behind the scenes, we get conversations between reporters, small talk between production and reporters. Sideline reporters talking with players.

Just spoke to the BBC about the demand for ice rinks in the UK - piece out next week. The mainstream media's intrigue in the sport is getting less absurd each time they look at the sport - from the ridiculous FT article about why women follow ice hockey, then to the potential 'spike in interest' from Heated Rivalry, now finally true journalism about something that matters. Waiting lists at nearly all clubs. Many hours of travel just to train. 2million tickets sold annually to league/cup fixtures. Biggest indoor sport in the country (by a long way). The sport has grown quietly, well-past the current infrastructure available. This is not just a supply and demand issue that will 'go away'.

@MTW2478 They've tried this in the UK. It added no extra funding to education, it just closed schools and added to the number of people at the state operated schools, stretching their budgets even further.

IMO Private schools should not receive any government funding. If you prefer your children to attend private schools, pay for it yourself. You are taking away funds desperately needed in our public schools. Private “anything” should mean you pay out of pocket.
