The USA ahs responded so well since going down to ten men. Bosnia are underwhelming, sure, but many teams would have crumbled under that. #WorldCup #USA

@JohnnyCart26205 @RyanRozbiani I have always agreed that how the MLS does it is better. If it’s not clear from the naked eye, it’s not clear and obvious. However, until they decide they don’t want semi-automated, it’s here and that’s the rules.

Credit to Ghana…came in with a plan to just not concede and they’re not giving us anything at all 🤷‍♂️ This game needs a winger who is going to run at these one on one matchups we’ve had on the outside. Theres width to exploit here… #ThreeLions

I’m trying to like soccer more but I really can’t stand how writhing around on the ground like you got shot is rewarded with a video review.

In some cases, if it’s reckless enough, getting the ball does not always exonerate a player. It’s a great question. I don’t feel that challenge elevates to reckless. Careless contact, as long as the ball is won cleanly first, is okay for me. This was careless and expected contact for me so not enough to override the fact he won the ball cleanly.

@uk_pat37 @FOXSoccer @FIFAcom @FIFAWorldCup Sure but he takes slides right through him afterwards, right? You can’t do that anywhere else on the field. Why is it no problem there? I haven’t seen other angles yet to be fair

@HayesDean7246 It was subjective but the original decision was offside. They are only supposed to change it if there was an obvious error. There wasn't.

I'm sorry, but the original offside decision should have stood there. The other US player was clearly offside and bearing down on the goalkeeper. Certainly interfering with play.

@UKFootyBible He’s German. He shouldn’t have to. I sing the US anthem as a British born citizen because I swore an oath to the country, its flag and constitution. Tuchel hasnt, and he shouldn’t be forced to sing it.

My point is still there...that's an African national accused of rape in the UK, and we still let him in here...even with our strict requirements. I am not being ignorant, I am just making a point - that we aren't in the business of simply not letting people in based on prejudice.

lmaoo you think all the countries that hosted before this clownish state hosted didnt have special visa dispensations? Its part and parcel of the bidding package in case you didnt know. So loud yet ignorant on the facts
🇺🇸 Damo 🇬🇧@uk_pat37

@haugejostein The USA has always had very strict visa conditions, even before Trump, and have enforce them very stringently. This notion that a country, to host a global event, needs to change its laws on immigration is absurd.

@T0NDERAI Somehow he got a US visa though...odd. Maybe he made a mistake? Maybe he did lie? Maybe America prioritizes innocent until you're proven otherwise and doesn't restrict people based on unresolved legal issues? Who knows...

@T0NDERAI What I do know is countires do not relax their visa requirements - Canada didn't for a man accused of rape and dfidn't let a Ghana player in. So I do know that much. My point? You know as much as I do...which is not a lot.

Not at all - there has been an increase under the current admin, obviously, because they're tougher on immigration. However these rates were already high as it was...and I used Obama because as an African American, I want to know what your accusation to him will be for being almost as tough as Trump on African visa applications....

@uk_pat37 @haugejostein The fact that you immediately jumped to Obama instead of discussing current visa policy tells me you know things have gotten tougher. Obama hasn't been president in almost a decade, why is he your benchmark?

The visa rejection rates in the US for African football fans have been off the charts for the World Cup. This is a scandal of epic proportions for a sports tournament that prides itself on being global and multicultural. This story is not getting nearly enough coverage.

@WachorZ @haugejostein Obama'as admin saw refusal rates of lots of poorer African countires at 50-75%. This isn't new. America shouldn't be expected to change its policies.

@TwanDatDuDe @haugejostein Under Obama, most African nations had tourist visa refusal rates of 50-75%. That is pretty consisten with what it is now. What are you going to accuse Obama of?
