I say this as a Cal fan, I remain unconvinced that Cal has really outperformed Pope.
Not defending Pope, it has to get better…but people placing a lot of stock in Arky’s post season run that saw them beat Oklahoma, Miss, Vandy, Hawaii and High Point.

@mickey_mckenzie @RoushKSR Mitch hated him and really didn’t try to hide it.
Also the fans were impatient. Put his post season record up against other HOF’s and you’d see that it’s not any different.
We need to have patience as fans!

@ukjonny9 @RoushKSR Tubby was offered an extension, but left. Cal sit on TV and said he was committed to the program and was going to be more active in the portal. At the same time he was talking to Arkansas. He resigned while he had a lifetime contract that still had $30 mm left that he was due.

After speaking with UK’s spokesperson, the University was very clear to me that Barnhart will not be in UK Athletics management role
Now whether it’s worth the $950,000 a year is in the eyes of the observer of course

There needs to be more oversight of these athletics contracts, from coaches to administrators
It’s time for UK Athletics to move to a new, modern era and spending almost $5 million dollars (after bonuses) and creating a job title for the former AD seems wasteful to me
