No.1 Flying Training School has hosted visits from three NATO allies over the last few weeks: Germany, Canada and Latvia. The visits underline the School's reputation as a world-leading provider, as well as UK’s current role as Chair of NATO’s Flying Training Europe programme.

670 Squadron’s Training Officer, Major Pemble, passes 8000 flying hours. Commandant No.1 Flying Training School and Commanding Officer 9 Regiment Army Air Corps ensured this impressive flying career landmark was celebrated. Congratulations from everyone at RAF Shawbury.

Pilots and Weapons Systems Operators from the Royal Navy, British Army, Royal Air Force, Heeresfliegertruppe, Luftwaffe and the Irish Air Corps graduated from No. 1 Flying Training School. The Reviewing Officer was Air Vice-Marshal Smith CB, Commandant Joint Aviation Command.

Students from Shrewsbury College, undertaking a Diploma in Uniformed Services, visited No.1 Flying Training School and the Defence College of Air and Space Operations. They were shown the sims and aircraft used to train the next gen of aircrew and air and space professionals.
