As the Head of the 🇺🇦 National Commission for UNESCO stressed at the conference "Protecting Cultural Heritage and Countering Cultural Erasure" held in Kyiv that our goal is to ensure that no crime against cultural heritage goes unpunished. 🤝🌏 @UNESCO @MFA_Ukraine @USAID

Ukrainian photojournalists have been capturing war and the damage it has been causing on 🇺🇦 cultural heritage. @UNESCO highlighted their work through an exhibition of their photos, inviting hundreds of people in #Kyiv to discover the stories behind these scenes of destruction.

In Kyiv, @UNESCO with partners presented a resource kit for school teachers on integrating living cultural heritage into their lessons on different school subjects. ➡️The resource kit is available online (in Ukrainian) for all interested teachers: ich.unesco.org/en/documents/u…

Today, 🇺🇦 was elected - for the first in the history - as member of UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage Committee. Will contribute to UNESCO’s efforts within mandate of 2003 Convention based on its experience of protecting Intаngible heritage in particular in times of 🇷🇺's war

To support Ukraine's culture @UNESCO has already mobilized over $ USD 19 million for emergency measures, yet the needs are much higher, and immediate interventions remain necessary. At the conference in Vilnius today, partners are coordinating on priority actions for 🇺🇦 culture.

I am in #Lithuania🇱🇹 to discuss #Ukraine's culture sector, which will require staggering US$ 6.9 billion over the next decade for recovery. Today, @UNESCO and @MCIPUkraine announced the #ActionPlan for Culture in 🇺🇦, identifying needs and charting a course to rebuild stronger.

3/3 At this exhibition 🇺🇦 also presented the Crimean Tatar ornament "Örnek", inscribed on UNESCO's List in December 2021 and traditional clothing worn by Crimean Tatar women. Grateful to our partners for participation in this event.

2/3 This exhibition was an occasion of commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of deportation of the Crimean Tatar people.

Today, the 🇺🇦 exhibition "Enduring Heritage of Crimean Tatars" was inaugurated at UNESCO in Paris. We thank Ms Esma Adzhieva, head of the "Alem" NGO, for co-organizing it.

Today 🇺🇦 was elected Vice Chair of UNESCO's Return & Restitution Intergovernmental Committee. 🇺🇦 whose properties were stolen by 🇷🇺 is committed to contribute to return and restitution of Cultural Properties to countries of their origin across the world.

🇺🇦 is thankful to our 🇪🇪 partners for coorganizing an exhibition “Looted Treasures. Gold from Ukraine” at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris. It is an important opportunity to raise a problem of illicit trafficking by 🇷🇺 of 🇺🇦 antiquities looted by 🇷🇺 in 🇺🇦
