@aboodman Completely agree. Yet it is where most fail. Rather a day or two extra on the magic carpet and a life time of skiing. Also by all means go when the weather isn’t great. Kids don’t care and there are a fewer people around.

5/ If the adults get to ski, hooray. But I don't expect to. I see the first several trips as an investment. An investment in future ski buddies! I find it makes my life a lot easier if I just mentally write the trip off and see it as about them not me.

My kids are 6 and 8. I've loved skiing and snowboarding since I was their age. I waited their whole lives to start teaching them. I also taught my nieces (now college-age) to ski.

one of my biggest struggles with working on a distributed team is being able to quickly sketch out ideas and diagrams the way we would on a whiteboard in a physical office. i’m willing to spend the money to buy an ipad if that’s helpful but are there better solutions?

A DB that is natively GraphQL which you can git push business logic code written in *any* language that compiles to webassembly. These functions automatically get exposed as graphql functions you can now call or they can stream process incoming data or at index time. Thoughts?
