The gods of IRCC have once again ordained that for each CEC draw that we have in the 500+ scores we must pay with a low score (under 400) francophone draw. Because this is how logical, skilled immigration works. We can complain all we want, they won’t change their approach

Category based draws have been an epic failure for Canada’s long term economic competitiveness and immigration strategy. Throw these into regional pilots where they belong, or encourage selection from the refugee class who can work in the categories, or speak French.

Ever wondered what happened with the Canadian skilled immigration STEM category? Category based draws were initially launched in May 2023. STEM was on that list from the beginning but only THREE draws were held for it since then: two in 2023 and the last one in April 2024 1/7

So now that budget is approved, the chances of a restricted version of TR2PR and H1B pathways are seeing the light of the day are high.

comes out and talks more about these 2 streams, as it will help simmer down all the crazy coo-coo narratives of free for all PR program that are doing the rounds.
Heck man, there are agents who are issuing out document checklists and even announcing limited intake registrations of these programs.

CEC Candidates- Don’t Lose Hope
It’s the end of the year, and CEC processing is already very fast with little pending inventory, so IRCC is likely pacing things for now.
We’ll probably see large CEC draws starting in January or February, which should start bringing CRS scores down as more ITAs are issued.
