India: 40% vegetarian. The plant-based dream. Also India: - 11% now diabetic. Over 100 million people, with another 136 million pre-diabetic. - Life expectancy of 72. - 35% of children stunted. - World leaders in the skinny-fat phenotype. Meanwhile Hong Kong eats more meat per person than anywhere on Earth and posts the longest life expectancy on Earth, around 85. The largest vegetarian population in the world, sitting next to some of the worst metabolic health in the world. But please, tell me again how plants are optimal nutrition.

@indexnforgetit Lol, nobody argues about price diminishing ! The problem is the extreme volatility which affects its utility in a portfolio for any sane fund managers.

No, 47% of Americans do not have less than $1,000 in savings. Use your common sense; how would the economy be functioning if that were true? In reality, the median household's net worth is ~$193,000.
The Dividend Breeder@DividendBreeder

Data suggests… 47% of Americans have less than $1,000 in savings. 31% don’t have a retirement account at all. But also… 1 out of 4 Americans have a net worth of at least $660K. This data makes no sense.

A Swiss hotel once displayed a list of special rules exclusively for Indian guests which I personally saw and was appalled. Today, videos of garba in restaurants, loud conversations in airports, and turning aircraft cabins into picnic spots keep doing the rounds. Even in Davos, an Indian businessman blasted Punjabi music in a club so the whole town could hear it, calling it “soft power” but to everyone’s annoyance. Japan earned global admiration through their courtesy and civic sense. If India wants to be a true global superpower, the world should remember Indians for its excellence, consideration and respect for others. Our civic sense seriously needs to be upgraded.

The proposed US-Iran peace deal has a $300 billion reconstruction fund for Iran. So, we spend $70 billion bombing them to spend $300 billion to rebuild them. All we have to do now is raise taxes.

Today, FIIs sold 20,600 cr, USD 2.2 billion. Let's not justify this by saying it's just MSCI rebalancing. Since 2018, the year our finance minister introduced LTCG, FIIs have kept rebalancing and have sold USD 132 billion. We hope the government opens its eyes. 😡🥺

S. Korea market is up +60% YTD despite $63 bn. FII outflows. India market down -6% with just ~$23bn FII selling. So domestic money (SIP) offsetting FIIs = strength in Korea weakness in India The math is not mathing. Maybe flows don’t drive markets as much as we think. Something else do. PS. Yes, I know S.Korea is all about 2 stocks. But the logical question remains.

We have the strongest military in the world. Yet somehow, we are negotiating with Iranian terrorists instead of using our military might. It’s sad.

BREAKING: The proposed US-Iran peace deal includes a $300 billion reconstruction fund for Iran, per NYT. The program is being called an international "investment fund," which the US would facilitate in the final deal. This comes as Iran demands "reparations" to end the war.

My son Tyler recieved a bonus pay for achieving sales goals at Universal Clothing. Got awarded $360 but after a 41% tax deduction he got $216. What's the point. The government nearly took half.

We can see 46 billion light years in every direction. The universe is 13.8 billion years old. Light has not had enough time to travel that far. Something out there is moving away from us faster than light itself, and physics says that’s allowed. I still don’t fully understand why.

India grows millions of coconuts but Thailand is beating us in exports. We are the 3rd largest coconut producer in the world. We have the land, the climate, and plenty of raw material. Still, we are losing badly. Why? Because we simply hand it to you with a straw and call it done. Thailand takes the same coconut, packs it clean in 250ml, 500ml or 1L bottles, freezes it at -18°C, gives it 12 month shelf life, and sells it in Whole foods and costco in USA and Europe. Production gives you coconuts.Operations with distribution give you money. In today’s world, lazy efforts don’t work anymore. Just growing more is not enough. You need proper processing, packaging, and smart operations , a solid network of distribution to win globally. Time to wake up, India and change the dynamic of exports.

THE FACTS: Too many Australians and especially young Australians are being priced out of the market by property investors backed by big tax breaks. That's why we’re reforming the tax system to help more young people buy a home of their own.
