Thread >> #HBLPSL6 MS have the lowest econ rate in the last 2 seasons. This is probably because of the experience they possess (both in terms of matches and avg age). Its also not unique to the PSL - CSK have followed a similar strategy in the past.

This is my playing XI for @IsbUnited . Hopefully we get more options (overseas fast bowler, etc.) before PSL. Right now bowling looks a bit soft/. Do you agree? Who would you play and why?

There is no doubt about his talent. But it should be mandatory for any young batter to play at least 3 full FC seasons before they are selected. Takes a while to learn the art of batting, unlike fast bowling

Sucks to be Shamyl Hussain! I agree that his dad may have used his influence to open doors for him that remain shut for most of us but any cricket fan should have no doubt about his talent & ability. He won an ODI cap only after a stellar domestic season. Long journey ahead!

No matter what the pitch, all he tries to do is bowl short of the length and away from the batter's arc. Someone like Will Jacks a part time offie, shows more courage and doesn't resort to defensive tactics by default @76Shadabkhan
Pavilion Post@CricinsightsX

2–32 (4) today for Shadab Khan. However, he once again struggled to find his rhythm and bowled a dozen deliveries either short or dragged down, most of which the batsmen failed to capitalize on. He has struggled to maintain the right length against the left-right combinations.

GENIUS PSL MANAGEMENT. 👏 - Lahore, Faisalabad & Rawalpindi will host 10 day matches under the scorching sun. None of the stadiums have roofs. - The Sindh derby between Karachi and Hyderabad will be played in Lahore, that too as a day game. - Karachi Kings will play more matches in Lahore than in Karachi. - And then we ask why people don’t come to watch PSL matches.

@sawerapasha You can pick a player who's performed in both. But if Player A has shown exemplary results in the PSL consistently, his Nat T20 results become irrelevant because he's shown he belongs by doing well in a superior quality league so no one should doubt his selection

@umerchhotani Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy has a significance. If we will not give respect to our domestic system then why would our international players want to play it when they have proven themselves on an international stage. This is the biggest problem with Pakistan cricket

National T20 holds very little significance because you have a superior quality league happening your in calendar year annually (PSL) unlike for the other 2 formats. How hard is this to understand? Would you pick a player who flourishes in Nat T20 but fails in the PSL??
Sawera Pasha@sawerapasha

@MazherArshad @sohaibfurqan To phir yeh jo National T20 horaha hai uska kya karien ?? Agar selection criteria PSL hi hai to band kardien National T20 ko.

All of a sudden Shadab Khan & Muhammad Nawaz taking wickets, Khawaja Nafay and Usman Khan scoring runs, and who knows Babar Azam scores a 50 ball 💯 tomorrow or the next day. While all of them failed badly at the international stage. Where’s the difference actually? Q: Is our domestic cricket not competitive enough⁉️ IMO, our domestic cricket standard is too low as compared to world’s modern day cricket. I saw yesterday’s Nafay’s knock, he was not middling the ball many a times, but somehow managed to score 48 off 20 in the end and all started hyping him. That was a very very average knock if you look at the technical aspect of batting…. I think that’s the main difference, our fans, journalists, player agents, they all start hyping a player for a mere average performance in domestic and when they go to the big stage at International level, that’s where they fail miserably just because they weren’t fully cooked. #T20WorldCup #NationalT20Cup

The Evolution of Finn Allen A Biomechanical Case Study The remarkable innings of 100 from 33 deliveries by Finn Allen was not the consequence of sudden brilliance, nor was it a moment of spontaneous inspiration. Rather, it was the culmination of a deliberate and methodical process involving biomechanical analysis, structured repetition, and precise execution. A crucial technical adjustment underpinned this transformation. In 2024, Allen’s front shoulder tended to open prematurely (early), which compromised his alignment and limited the efficiency of his swing path. By 2026, however, this flaw had been significantly corrected. His shoulder remained more closed during the initial phase of the stroke, resulting in improved static balance, enhanced body alignment, and a fuller, more controlled arc of the bat. This technical refinement had a measurable impact on his scoring patterns. In 2024, only 14% of Allen’s boundary hits were straight, indicating a preference for cross-batted or lateral scoring zones. By the time the semi-final stage of the tournament in 2026, this figure had risen to 33%. The ability to access the straight boundary more consistently triggered a notable surge in run-scoring productivity. Opposition analysts and international teams, however, quickly recognised these technical modifications. As a tactical response, they began positioning a fielder at long-on to counter Allen’s increasingly dominant straight hitting. Rather than allowing this field placement to restrict his scoring options, Allen responded by expanding his repertoire, developing and refining the ramp shot, which he executed with considerable skill in the semi-final against South Africa national cricket team. This sequence of adjustments illustrates an important principle: a batsman is never technically complete. Elite players continue to evolve, guided by advanced technical, scientific, and biomechanical insights, reinforced through disciplined practice. @iRashidLatif68 @krick3r @AbdurRoufKhan6
