Briggs was a highly sought after recruit in the 2026 cycle, with schools such as Ohio State , and Georgia attempting to get involved late in his recruitment , but he remained loyal to the Cardinals Now fast forward to Louisville An early enrollee this spring, Briggs has already started to turn heads. The game isn’t too fast for him. His ability to diagnose defenses, recognize pressure, and operate within the offense at this stage stands out immediately. Yes, the size is there. Yes, the arm talent is there. But what most don’t see until you really watch him is the anticipation and vision. That’s what separates him. That’s what translates. He showed it again in the spring game. Poised, controlled, decisive. Making tight window throws and commanding the moment like it wasn’t too big. I’ve said it before, and I’ll stand on it. He’s “The Future”. Not just at quarterback, but the face of the program. Because when you combine talent, toughness, leadership, and a willingness to learn, you get something different.
