I think we have to move past seeing subjects and chosing between them. The past has been, present is and the future will always stay with those who build genuine curiosity to understand something, and build strong pattern recognition to solve for gaps when they see it. This applies across all subjects.

Andrej Karpathy just said your kids should ignore most of school. "80% of education should be math, physics, CS." Not because it's useful - because it carves grooves in the brain. Grooves that get harder to carve the older you get. In a pre-AGI world: it gets you a job. In a post-AGI world: it makes you a functioning, empowered human. Everything else? Tack it on later. The cognitive foundation is the only foundation that survives the transition.

I am turning 35 today, almost half of my expected life. I have been blessed with a great life and have mostly been able to lead a happy life till now. I have realized that i have always lived a dream of many, across all my years, however hard it might have seem to me, at that point. Someone darkest days are someones brightest ones, just because the baseline circumstances plays out differently in life. All this to say that, I have more than enough, and i wish someones dream gets sponsored today!

This reminds of a scene in a movie called "Wanted" where Angelina Jolie curves a bullet around a circular path to kill all the enemy along with herself at the end of the circle. The only difference? your enemies are smart not to stand in the path of a curving bullet, so you essentially kill yourself in the end.
