Log footage in final deliverables is a scourge. It’s the 4:3/16:9 mismatched aspect ratio of today.

@Boringstein 🤷 Different EOTFs can look different, depending on what OETF the camera used. Kind of hard to pinpoint what the exact pipeline could have been. But yes, Twitter’s compression is wild, so it’s difficult to tell.

@GencoUney @JSFILMZ0412 I mean I think the color composition is just very beige? Log doesn’t “possess” more dynamic range so much as it encodes more dynamic range than a signal that would otherwise get clipped.

@uncorrectedlog @JSFILMZ0412 It's obviously not a "log" from a cam. Common misconception I keep seeing is that "log has more dynamic range". So somewhere in interchange it was left out Another thing I thought you'd comment on is the aesthetic of log, since it's everywhere people strive to have that "look".
